Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration

Yikes! Sorry about Brendon's tumble.
My switch from third floor walkup to single level detached home seems to have come at just the right time, and alleviated most of my tendonitis pain. I never fell on the stairs, but several of my neighbors did and I took them very carefully as a result.
Matilda said goodbye to her friend Veronica this morning, the third of her close friends who have left for college this week. It's making her very sad, on top of the approaching anniversary of Jacqueline's death.
However, Emmett is coming over shortly and we'll all go to breakfast at a new creperie.
I hope Brendon heals quickly.
I'm sorry Matilda's friends are all going away but crepes sound good.
I'm at an urgent care. I hurt my shoulder at work 2 days ago. Kept thinking it would get better. But it hasn't. I reported it ..or rather mentioned it to my team lead who said it had to be reported as an incident. I didn't think it would be that bad. But the next day I work is Sunday and if it was worse on Sunday that would have made the logistics of urgent care etc worse.
Everything has to be by the book now because part of the reason why the former store manager was fired was not reporting incidents and for discouraging someone from reporting an accident. I wouldn't have felt comfortable reporting this with her.
I read RFK JR has dropped his attempt to run for President and endorsed Trump. From what I've gathered this could help Harris and hurt Trump. I hope that is true.
I have work restrictions: no lifting or carrying anything over 15 lbs, no over head lifting , no over head reaching and no repetitive movements with my left arm until the 29th when I have to go back to get re evaluated.
I have no idea what I'm going to do because that covers all the movements I do for my job. I told the dr this and she was like "they can have you scan things for inventory" which makes no sense but I'm not pushing it, maybe they will cross train me for front end (which I don't really want). However this experience is already 100% better than the workers comp experience when I got my concussion
I'm sorry, askye. I hope they figure out a better fit for you at work.
I have to carry her down and that's a bit nerve-wracking because I can't see the stairs well and I need to use both arms to carry her (our other dog I can just tuck under one arm, but she's young and doesn't need any help with stairs).
When Brandy couldn't manage the stairs well we used the handle on a harness to support her. It is easier for the dog and parent than carrying.
We are back home. He is more cooperative for the icing and such, but still really miserable at the concept that it takes more than a day. Understatement ... not a great patient.
I hope Brendan is feeling better soon.
After some issues I got my medicine. Got home. Left my wallet in the shopping cart at work. Work has it. I'm taking a steroid for inflammation and a muscle relaxer...that I'm supposed to take 3 times a day but it makes me super drowsy and I can't drive or do much with it so will only take it at night
I'm watching FSU play Georgia Tech play each other in Ireland.
I got ribs and chicken wings for grilling at M's request. Well his mom wanted wings. But now she's gone off somewhere.
They will have to find me something to do at work. I can walk around and help customers find things . Everyone needs help with the remodel going on.
I took my medicine and right now I have both the steroid and the muscle relaxer running through my system and colliding with each other. Woo.. tomorrow I'll just take the muscle relaxer at night.

I am now free to walk with on both feet! I still have to wear the boot, but I don't have to take time to figure out a clear path and keep an eye on both front and back wheels. I'm just getting used to it. I'm going to celebrate by walking down the stairs, to the laundry room. cue The Tick "I;m doing Laundry"!
it will be the first time in almost 8 months. I'm pretty excited about it.
Yikes, I can't imagine trying to work on a muscle relaxer. I hope you can get by without them during the day.
Woo for functional feet! You should be excited!
DH went and got pictures of his knee and hip and he is fine, so of course he is out doing construction. His biggest issue is sitting down or getting up, so he just stays in perpetual motion.
So glad he got the x-rays, but maybe he should take a rest day?
