Our wings are not tired.

Ouch, sorry about the baby toe! They do hurt so.

Don't tell her, but why don't a bunch of us surprise F2F with Vortex at the restaurant? The menu looks good. I'm sure they will make room for a cool Buffiasta group. (kiss kiss)

And yes, we want a full report of the experience, Vortex!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Vortex OMG - totally not okay to invite a bunch of randos to lunch with you without asking!

It's only 11am and I'm already so tired of adulting. I'm the family manager for our shared Canada property and we are in the middle of changing caretakers and it has been AWKWARD AF.

tl;dr the guy who's been opening and closing the houses for the past several years asked the guy who's been doing our major construction projects to take over as caretaker without talking to me or my mother (or anyone who owns the house) first. It's all FINE since we were hoping to ask construction guy the same thing anyway, but holy crap, presumptuous much? Also the woman who runs the cleaning service we use is Original Caretaker's sister-in-law so I had to text her and be like "Well, Glenn quit but can you please stay on?" (Thankfully she said yes so at least I don't need to rush around finding a new set of cleaners. Or, worse, clean the house ourselves at the beginning of every season because frankly my cousins would not do a good job of it and I really like coming up every year to a house that's not wall to wall mice and ants!)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's a lot of adulting before third coffee, Jessica! I'm glad you were able to resolve both the caretaker and the cleaner. That's impressive. You deserve a cookie.

Protect those li'l piggy toes!

I haven't run all week because of various early morning appointments (and laziness) but I have a window this morning. So I will roust myself into the fog.

Coding and Sleeping

So I open up the CNN website and see the headline "Trump's digs at Harris stir fears he'll attack election outcome". I mean, spoiler-alert, Trump is going to attack the election outcome.

I read that headline this morning, Gud, and I had the same reaction. It's a water-is-wet kind of news story: when he loses, of course he's going to cry foul because he's a giant baby-man.

In good election news, Inflation is under 3% for the first time since 2021. That's a big boost for the Dems.

I feel bad, because someone's Walgreen's delivery ended up on my porch, and after knocking on the neighbors' door to see if it was theirs (DoorDash for them often ends up on our porch), all I could do was make a post in the neighborhood FB group and the FB group specifically for our street, saying "I have your Walgreen's delivery! Because it contained coffee creamer, I brought it inside to refrigerate the creamer so it won't go bad. If this is yours, I'll get it to you!" (The delivery does not have a prescription; just coffee creamer and some non-food sundries, one of which is a wrist brace, so I really want to get it to the person who ordered it.)

I hope the person who ordered it sees my post(s).

Oh how weird, Steph—it didn’t have any info on it?

I woke up with a migraine and took meds and now my head doesn’t hurt but my shoulders and back feel like i used them too hard yesterday (I didn’t).
