I need some cat~ma for Mom. She brought Lovey down to get his eye removed. That went fine. But last night he got out of the E collar and disappeared somewhere in the house. And hadn't been seen since. Mom can't really look for him because of her knees . I offered to drive up and find him but she said a friend was going to come over. But said friend had surprise company and her other friends all have similar bending down limitations.
He did this after his first surgery and showed up and was fine. So I'm hoping tomorrow he finally gets hungry and shows up.
On the other hand M's toe is healing. It still seems oozy a little but not much and we are down to non stick bandage and gauze to cover it. He still has to be careful when he is moving around
We were supposed to go to the VA for him to get X-rays for his back today but it was pouring down rain this morning and neither of us wanted to deal with the logistics of keeping his foot dry.
I also ended up having a bowl of rice plus protein plus additions for dinner last night , lunch and dinner tonight. Last night was supposed to be tacos with rice as a side but work was really loud and annoying and I came home and told M I wanted "comfort food bowl and small fork dinner".
Not the restaurant I know but sounds amazing!

I smashed my wee baby toe yesterday and I really should have iced it right away. It looks horrible (& hurts but I don’t think it’s broken, not that there would be much to do with it if it was)

Don't tell her, but why don't a bunch of us surprise F2F with Vortex at the restaurant? The menu looks good. I'm sure they will make room for a cool Buffiasta group. (kiss kiss)

It's only 11am and I'm already so tired of adulting. I'm the family manager for our shared Canada property and we are in the middle of changing caretakers and it has been AWKWARD AF.
tl;dr the guy who's been opening and closing the houses for the past several years asked the guy who's been doing our major construction projects to take over as caretaker without talking to me or my mother (or anyone who owns the house) first. It's all FINE since we were hoping to ask construction guy the same thing anyway, but holy crap, presumptuous much? Also the woman who runs the cleaning service we use is Original Caretaker's sister-in-law so I had to text her and be like "Well, Glenn quit but can you please stay on?" (Thankfully she said yes so at least I don't need to rush around finding a new set of cleaners. Or, worse, clean the house ourselves at the beginning of every season because frankly my cousins would not do a good job of it and I really like coming up every year to a house that's not wall to wall mice and ants!)
That's a lot of adulting before third coffee, Jessica! I'm glad you were able to resolve both the caretaker and the cleaner. That's impressive. You deserve a cookie.
