You're right. He's evil. But you should see him naked. I mean really!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Whole numbers. To me, "flat" means "no fractions."
Flat is .00

Agh, taking a taxi home from the airport because lately it’s faster and cheaper than an Uber. But annoying when the first cab doesn’t have a meter (I got out—there’s not a negotiated flat rate to my neighborhood like there is to downtown and I don’t want a surprise) and the guy was pissy. Sorry dude. And now I’m in a cab where I can’t see the meter, which is also annoying. (And he’s driving a bit like a maniac). This is why Uber/lyft are handy. Sigh.

"You should never say bad things about the dead, only good… Joan Crawford is dead. Good.” —Bette Davis

Yesterday turned out to be less productive than I'd hoped. No housecleaning aside from taking out the trash, and while I did get a start on weather staining my outdoor furniture in the evening, mosquitoes drove me inside after I'd gotten one coat on the top and sides of a single chair. I did get grocery shopping done for two households though, so it wasn't a total bust.

Weekends used to be so long, and now I blink and they're over.

Ugh. Also I weighed myself. Granted I did next to no walking or working out or anything for the past week while traveling, and I ate terribly the past few days, but YIKES I have gained almost 10 pounds since the end of July. Not good.

Coding and Sleeping

This weekend I took the dogs for a 3 mile walk, changed the oil in my car, recycled the oil, did three loads of laundry and put them away, vacuumed and steam cleaned the upstairs hallway, did some computer stuff for my wife, did a couple loads of laundry, did the grocery shopping for the week, went to the hardware store (using my trike and trailer) to get salt for the water softener, cooked dinners, and fixed the squeaky drawers in the upstairs bathroom. However, I didn't do the first floor vacuuming or cleaned up the basement or got rid of the pile of empty cardboard boxes in the garage. So got some stuff done, but didn't get as much as I should have.

Despite living in Minnesota for a year and a half now, I didn't really know anything about Walz and it's been fun finding out about him since being picked for running for veep.

That's a lot, Gud! I am enjoying your Governor tremendously.

I got some laundry done this weekend; that's about it for chores. I did a library run to return two books I finally found and got the replacement fees wiped out. Then put a couple more on hold, so that's exciting. I also grabbed one to read right now -- Sula. I have neglected Toni Morrison, so I'm rectifying. I mean, in the last two decades my reading has just tanked, so I've neglected a lot, honestly.

Today I'm going to buy a pair of jeans I like. I do not enjoy the ones I have, and I miss wearing jeans. So, there you go.

Whoa! Let's back up there and highlight the most important detail in your weekend work report to refute your last sentence: "did three loads of laundry and put them away..."

It is known that putting the laundry away is by far the hardest hill to climb among any household chore. How many have done the wash, even done the folding and then let it sit in piles? But not you, Gud!

I need you to go get back on the podium and accept your gold medal in chore doing and Excellence In Laundry Completion.

Seriously. My sheets remain unfolded as does a hamper full of clean clothes from before the weekend. Ahem.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

My mother always puts stuff away, but then when she dressed as Wonder Woman for Halloween when I was a kid, I wasn't totally sure it was a costume. (Sometimes I feel weird mixture about all the stuff disability...kind of gets me off the hook for. Because, when I'm missing stuff, it sure as hell isn't laundry...well, except for the one place I lived in college where it became kind of a flashpoint for the attendants and then people put underwear in my hamper with, well...never mind. But there have been times I wanted to handle it myself, I suppose.) But I can't ever even say stuff like that, or that I'm glad that I have time to write or for political activity, without seeming like I Think The World Owes Me A Living(Does it make anyone feel better that I think it owes you one, too? Sometimes.)
