"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Aimee posted on FB that she's been stranded for 7 hours at the start of her trip because of the outage.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I saw someone on Twitter claiming that Southwest isn't affected because they still use Windows 3.1, and I can't tell if that's a joke.

Thrive to spite them

Ugh. I bought several Hanes cooling t shirts. They had good reviews and recommendations and for awhile they did what they were supposed to. The fabric gets cold

But today it just was holding in the heat and I had to be in the back room longer than normal and so I got really hot. And sweaty. I thought I had cooled down ok I even changed shirts (there was a clean one in my car I've been meaning to take inside) and I started getting brain foggy. I did finally stop for lunch.

It's not the hottest day it's been but it's very humid. Lunch as been some chicken salad, celery sticks, yogurt, watermelon (maybe I might save it for a snack) and I got a electrolyte drink mix that I mixed with electrolyte water . I am feeling a little better.

Always Anti-fascist!

Asking for -ma for my mom's friend's grandson...it's a saga, apparently, and not mine to post anyway, but thought I'd ask for a good thought for Branden, anyway.

Our wings are not tired

I have so much work to do, and my motivation to be doing it is...not great.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I'm going on vacation in two hours and people keep wanting me to do my job, which just seems mean of them.

My computer started working again. I think my east coast colleagues had given up for the day (fair!) but I feel like I probably have to do some work this afternoon. Boooooo

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Much ~ma for Branden, erikaj.

I was supposed to be flying up to see my niece’s family, and that didn’t happen. They were able to get me on a flight for tomorrow, so that’s nice. As I was waiting in the support queue for ~4 hours this morning (on my phone, while slounging on my sofa) I was extremely grateful that I wasn’t working a Delta customer service desk today.

My flight is allegedly still happening today, which is an improvement on this time yesterday. If it doesn’t go, well, I can spend the rest of the long weekend at home with the cats, which isn’t bad, as worst case scenarios go. I still hope I can see my grandnibblings tho.

I have worn the Loop Quiet 2 , still not sure I have the fit right on the ear piece. But the verdict is ...it doesn't block out as much noise as I would like but it does a good job of blocking out all the annoying little noises. I can still hear people talk but at work it blocked out the speakers the background voices and the beepinga and someone's phone playing video. So it made my break a lot better.
