I would be there right now.

The writers of this season of America have jumped the shark. This is ridiculous.

Thrive to spite them

I went ahead and I installed most of my social media apps because I know I would just end up checking them and getting stressed. Ill check them at home on my computer.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Apparently we're on the timeline that misses by three inches.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I've seen several people mention that most candidates who survive assassination attempts don't get much of a bump in the polls, and most end up losing.

So, yeah. Here we are, America.

Are people who were undecided going to be more inclined to vote for Trump after this?

I don't think so.

Were people who were against Trump going to give him a sympathy vote?

I don't think so.

Are Trump voters going to be irrational and incensed?

Yes, but they were already there.

I don't think it really changes anything. Except if Trump were to lose the election his followers would be even less likely to see it as valid.

But since they have pre-emptively said the election is invalid I don't think that changes anything for this election.

It just further entrenches the nutbags beyond this moment.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Huh. CNN is saying the shooter was registered as a Republican. [link] The only possible good that could come of all this is a mass purge and round of infighting that finishes destroying the Republican Party.

He was 20 years old, this would have been the first Presidential election he could have voted in. He was registered as a Republican and also gave $15 to the PAC Progressive Turnout Project which is a voter contact org to rally Democrats.

Which do you tht Trump supporters are going to latch on to?

20 years old and he did this.

There is also audio of Trump being concerned about getting his shoes instead of immediately following the orders of the Secret Service but I'm going to be very very generous and chalk that up to shock

It also shows that people making assumptions before any info is available is really bad. I saw people claim this was staged because

1) no one else was injured or killed , which wasn't true 2l people weren't panicking or reacting in the video , but they were or at least part of the crowd reacted and part wasn't aware of what was happening immediately 3) if it was real the Secret Service would have had Trump off the state immediately but it looks like Trump wasnt getting off quickly

Our wings are not tired.

Is it wrong that I hope they had to shave the side of his head to treat him?

Also, although disgusting that this was possible I don’t mind the news being off Biden’s age.

If it's any indication, no one here has mentioned a damn thing about it, and I've been chatting with folks all morning. Literally, not one word.
