So, I was supposed to have a day at home alone today to, like, detox a little. But my preschooler got sent home with head lice at 10 am, so now I'm dealing with that.

Procedure went well, we gave before and after x-rays, mom was super perky in recovery but came home and went right to sleep. Dad is also sleeping (on the floor so as not to disturb Mom, I guess) and I am hovering around uselessly debating whether I should wake her up and make her do her breathing exercises. So far I feel like sleeping is more important. She did have general anesthesia but also a nerve block for the arm which will probably wear off about 9 pm, so I’ll wake her up before then so she can start taking her pain meds…

Man, the socks I picked today are just sliding around -- like the heel ends up on the ankle. Super annoying. I think I usually wear them with boots, so they're held in place or something. It's possible I have issues.

She's a lucky mommy.

She got prescribed Tylenol + hydrocodone this time and she's getting side effects :( We're going to try stretching out the dosage schedule and see if that helps, and we'll just switch back to straight Tylenol if necessary, that was working well before. Other than that she's recovering well!

I did not do well getting back to sleep either time so I'm very tired. My niece is coming down today so I'll go home this evening and have a couple of days of just working and sleeping and getting new tires for my car...

We're apparently finally making the desk move that they first said we would probably do in June, I have signed up to move tomorrow. So that's exciting. I can't tell from the map if I will be near the windows (there are windows in this part of the building! Natural light! Possible a view of the parking lot!) or over be the kitchenette, either way seems good.

I skipped over a bunch of posts because my concentration levels are shit right now, but as always tons of ~ma and love to those who need it.

Things are going well here. ltc seems to be enjoying 5th grade. We’ve had excellent luck with the teachers at her school over the years, and I hope that will extend to middle school next year.

You can also alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen every three hours. (IANAD)
