Disclosure documents now (305 pages).
Wow, that seems daunting. How does it compare to the disclosure docs for your current place?

The house inspection on our current place was 80 pages by itself. It was thorough! The inspection on this place is about 25 pages. Most of it is standard boilerplate language.
There's always a freakout when you read the inspection report. But older buildings have issues that need to be addressed. This building is 100 years old so it's fundamentally sound.
Reading all the reports is so very stressful, as is the whole process. This does seem like a wonderful opportunity. The location is beautiful and the place looks great.
I keep forgetting to update my burrito price report! Went to the Martinez Sesquicentennial celebration on Saturday and got lunch from a food truck ( I *want* to call it a taco truck, I would call the restaurant it belongs to a taqueria, but their special was burritos so "taco truck" seems vaguely misleading). I got a super burrito with al pastor, a side of chips, salsa, beans and cheese, and a diet coke for $15. Mom got a regular veggie burrito for $9. So they aren't all $20.
To be fair, I think I did get the $20 burrito delivered, so fees and whatnot go into that. But still!
I kind of wish we'd done that stuff for this place. Nothing here is that old, but we've been kind of low-key haunted by electrical problems.
Today I picked up my hard neck brace that I'll wear after the surgery. It is honestly the part of surgery I'm dreading most (even more than the surgery itself), because I hate anything snug around my neck, like turtleneck shirts/sweaters, or even a winter scarf. The brace is pretty restrictive. I'm hoping the pain meds will make me not care so much.
Although I think I have it relatively easy -- I don't have to wear it when I'm sleeping or showering or icing my neck, and a lot of people do. And I think I only have to wear it for the first 2 weeks. Hopefully I can be chill about it. (I mean, I possess zero chill, but maybe opiates will let me borrow some chill.)
David it's a beautiful house. I hope the offer goes smoothly!
If you can't make your own chill, store-bought is fine. Seriously, I feel you on not liking things around your neck (maybe we were hanged in a past life...), I do hope the opiates help with that. May you have a warm fuzzy cloud of not caring about anything including the brace for two weeks.

I hope you find it comfortable. After a nasty whiplash accident decades ago, I had to wear one, or my head would just flop around painfully. It was comforting to have the security. Good~drugs~ma!
