Speaking of fun days, today is the 40th anniversary of Jon B's Breakfast of Champions show for WMBR. 40!! Give a listen for something much more fun than the news. [link]
Happy Birthday, David!
I am bereft, and I didn't even watch (was out at team dinner/concert). Reading fallout.
I didn't post as I was reading, but I've been beaming extra love and care vibes toward Hec, Epic, and kitty of Epic.
Y'all know that gif with the dog pulling the blanket over their head as they go into the crate? That's me for the next five months. I don't know how I'm going to survive this, much less the country...
Strange how the country is a complete shithole now and yet the biggest problem is too many people trying to get in.

It is going to be a very long summer. At least I expect fewer ads here in NY than FL will be burdened with. The major swing states are going to be inundated with negative ads.

I have never been so happy that we only watch streaming TV (except that football season starts at the beginning of September, which means I'll be watching the Bengals on commercial TV, and that is going to suck so much because of the political ads—2 months of political ads, but at least only once a week).
Sometimes I kinda forget that TV commercials are still a thing.
Happy Birthday, David!
All sorts of ~ma for you and your kitty, Epic.
Glad the basement flooding wasn't worse, Gud.
Hope the show is as good as it sounds, Aurelia.
All my morning chores done, b'fast dishes washed and put away. Time for a nap!
So far the oscillating fan is doing a fair job. We haven't needed the AC yet. I've no doubt we eventually will, though. It's kind of unsettling walking through the house. The front windows soak up heat till midday, and the kitchen skylight--once you're past that the house temp drops ten or more degrees and the bedrooms are actually cool. Even need a blanket at night. People used to close off part of the house so they didn't have to heat it in winter. We have the opposite.
