You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Such a sad thing. Apparently his end was peaceful with his daughters present, so at least there's that. He'll be missed.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

He was absolutely lovely when I met him in person. I need to track down that picture.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I tried to schedule my pneumonia and shingles vaccines earlier this week, and CVS wouldn't let me because I wasn't 50 yet. Gonna get right back on that.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I haven't posted in literal years (sorry for being MIA, oops) but just heard about Anthony Head, which made me think of all of you.

72 still feels young to me but I guess it really isn't.

I didn’t realize his partner died last year. His poor daughters. I know they’re in their 30s now but still that’s a lot.

Art Crawl!!!

It does seem too young.

I need better posting habits. Visiting only after hearing of the death of one of the BtVS actors is just not right.

Meanwhile: I am still loving my part-time job at the library. I am now a UU. I sing in my local community choir -- which is fun and I enjoy it even though my voice really isn't up to snuff. (Thank goodness for the plethora of altos.)

August will be my five year Cancer-versary.

I was so sad to hear about Susan O.

I am hoping for a 2nd woman trained horse to win the Belmont Stakes tomorrow. . . loved that we (finally) had a woman trainer of a Kentucky Derby winner. . . and there are alot more women trainers out there than may be obvious.

Also, I am loving all the clips from the British Bridleless Competition (it's horseback - jumping and dressage) and amazing.

Some of the happiess horses I've ever seen doing upper level dressage!

Hi, Vonnie and sumi -- lovely to see you both.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Yes, his poor daughters. Losing both your parents in six months is tough going, even as an adult.

I love this story about him: [link]

Its nice when someone you admire is one of the good guys.

I love that story, Trudy.
