It does seem too young.
I need better posting habits. Visiting only after hearing of the death of one of the BtVS actors is just not right.
Meanwhile: I am still loving my part-time job at the library. I am now a UU. I sing in my local community choir -- which is fun and I enjoy it even though my voice really isn't up to snuff. (Thank goodness for the plethora of altos.)
August will be my five year Cancer-versary.
I was so sad to hear about Susan O.
I am hoping for a 2nd woman trained horse to win the Belmont Stakes tomorrow. . . loved that we (finally) had a woman trainer of a Kentucky Derby winner. . . and there are alot more women trainers out there than may be obvious.
Also, I am loving all the clips from the British Bridleless Competition (it's horseback - jumping and dressage) and amazing.
Some of the happiess horses I've ever seen doing upper level dressage!
Hi, Vonnie and sumi -- lovely to see you both.
Yes, his poor daughters. Losing both your parents in six months is tough going, even as an adult.
I love this story about him: [link]
Its nice when someone you admire is one of the good guys.
I love that story, Trudy.
Hi Jen!
I quickly looked at Beep Me thread and fucking hell. That's a lot of heartbreak. I am sorry for all your losses.
I'm doing well, same job, same city (Pittsburgh). Made a long-delayed trip back to Korea last year after 25 years away, which loosened something in me. Trying to stay fit, but post menopausal metabolism just laughs at my face.
Dived head-first into K-pop fandom a few years back under the excuse of getting in touch with my roots, etc., made some friends, and now we are travelling to multiple cities to see BTS including a jaunt to Vegas last month and a trip to Europe in 2 weeks. Who would have thought this would be me 5-10 years ago, but I'm going with the flow, haha.
I figure, life is sad, and wonderful, and hella short, and it's up to us to squeeze what joy we can out of it.
That's the truth, Vonnie. So good to see you!
And sumi!

Well said. Love to hear about new friends and traveling for shows - fun!
Lovely to see you both and hear about good things happening.
That sounds fun Vonnie!!
But sad about ASH. I had enjoyed his turn at evil on Ted Lasso.

He was delightful in that role.
