Our wings are not tired.

Today we celebrate Dana's birthday! I hope you are being spoiled today and that the year ahead is all you hope for and more!

Coffee:

Being old means Medicare Advantage which means dental coverage, at least for the stuff I have needed done. I have a great dentist less than 2 miles from home. The hygienist is very sweet and greets me like an old friend twice a year. I don't even get anxious anymore. Prior to this I went to the dental school here and they were cool. Had no luck with the porcelain crown so I have shiny bling on my last molar which withstands my grinding. I had to pay at the dental school, but it wasn't bad.

That which does not kill you should RUN

Happy Birthday, Dana!!!

I had two cracked fillings redone today and have a consultation about a root canal on Friday. I did fine during the appointment today, but now I have a stress headache. I hate anxiety.

This morning I have 2 appointments with 2 separate dentists -- the permanent crown from my root canal is in at the emergency dentist who did the root canal, so I see them at 10, and then I have a broken filling (I swear I'm not trying to copy you, sj!) that my regular dentist is repairing at 11:30. Lunch will probably be oatmeal. Or a smoothie.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Ugh. Rough night last night.

Got to sleep a little after 10:00 p.m. Was awakened by loud pounding on my apartment door an hour and a half later. It was the fire department, responding to a 911 call from the apartment below me about a gas leak. They checked for leaks in my apartment (furnace closet and kitchen), didn't find any, went away.

Adrenaline spike took a long time to ebb. That and the brain weasels kept me awake until after 2:00 a.m.

This morning my back is sullenly telling me that leaping out of bed to answer the door so quickly was a very bad idea. I am mobile, but just barely. Waiting for pain meds to kick in.

Today is going to be difficult.

I'm sorry for the miserable night, dcp. I hope the pain meds do their thing quickly and you can get some rest.
