Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

I have to print pictures out this week for the Memorial and take care of all the shit I haven't done. Like...get the insurance in order for this event. So many details.

Less than 2 weeks now; so close!

How's everyone's Sunday going? It's quiet up in here.

Car wash and groceries and then 30 minutes on the bike. I kind of want ice cream for dinner but have salmon thawing instead. The NYT Spelling Bee had me bee-fuddled earlier, so I'm giving it another shot while the salmon thaws. I need to put in about an hour of culling the closet after dinner. Super exciting Sunday stuff.

Rhinestones, smonster, and all kinds of activity coming out of Ohio Nice! Just walked back to the hotel with Shir, who is now prepping to head out tomorrow... safe travels! My DH is picking me up shortly. Great weekend, and I will sleep well tonight!

I have my colonoscopy tomorrow! I just had my first dose of the stuff. That was fun.

(I almost typed, "Go, Tom!" and then realized that it could be misconstrued as an imperative rather than a cheer...)

Excellent adulting, Tom!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I made a cake and I'm doing laundry.

I drove up to Sacramento and met four lovely rescue dogs, and brought one home. She is now pacing unstoppably through the house, although periodically laying down on the futon for a minute or two.

No name yet, I haven't decided. But she's a small shepherd, with a dark face and lovely lighter-colored eyebrows. Big ear action as well.

Yay, dog!

I mean, he’s gonna, either way.

I am not working on culling the closet because my back has been aching and now it’s spasming, so I’m throwing meds at it and lying flat.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Good times, Tom! I do not envy your evening. But that medical nap tomorrow will be amazing. I think colonoscopy day should be like new years day, a time of new beginnings and fresh starts. Everything is cleaned out, so it's a great time to start fresh with new intentions. Like "solid foods."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and brought one home.

Exciting! New dog smell!
