Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Re: yesterday’s Connections (was that yesterday?) I usually don’t mind or even like the wacky pictograph ones but I could not get this one.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Jesus christ, why did I even get out of bed today?

Our wings are not tired.

I was Phew on today's Connections.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

What Sophia said. Sophia, actual Mom and I have spent a great deal of time picturing all those $1 bills. In other news, I submitted to a writing contest yesterday even though I probably have no shot and have puked more than the mother in "The Help" over the last few months(and she almost dies) Somehow, I thought optimism would be cuter since everyone urges on me so much.

Nobody has posted in over 24 hours?? What’s even going on? (I’ve been chilling in small town Illinois with my dads cousins who I can’t remember how we are related for his funeral…)

Dammit, people, meara needs some chatter.

I was cooling my heels at home and feeling restless and bored so I went over to Alembic (my local bar) at 9pm. Much later than I usually do.

Wound up talking to a very interesting woman at the bar for 2.5 hours. She's a musician who just got back from Salzburg, lives in Chicago and plays ukelele in a cover band that that does The Cure.

So that was way more fun than bored at home.

Our wings are not tired.

Been too busy doing not a whole lot. Air show is this weekend so traffic is insane. Son is over to watch the show. We have prime viewing from our balcony.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yesterday I got my hair cut and picked up Dylan from the train station (he is home for the summer, yay!) Then I made bread and bagel dough so I could bake this morning. The bagels were overproofed and have collapsed into flagels (or possibly my starter wasn't strong enough to lift low-hydration dough) but they taste fantastic.

Today is the annual plant sale at the farmstand where my CSA is, but I do not have the spoons for dealing with any more gardening this month.

Right now I am trying to make a menu so I can go grocery shopping but my brain is refusing to imagine any food I might want to eat in the future that isn't bread. Maybe I'll make some ciabatta and see if that helps.

I mean, living off bread could be worse. But maybe consider if you need to have accompaniments for your bread, like butter or cheese or jam.
