Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy Teppy Day!

How discouraging about your wrist, Laura.

I'm reminded of Louis CK's joke about how after a certain age doctors just shrug and say, "Welp, you've got a shitty wrist now." I hope yours gets less shitty, or maybe a lighter drill is in order.

I'm mostly recovered from my head cold but there's still some left where it's heavy and wet in my lungs, and I get an odd whistling through my sinuses as the congestion makes tectonic shifts.

When I woke up my mouth tasted like Satan's armpit. So not 100% yet. I ran yesterday but it made me really winded.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

I'm glad I started antibiotics for this sinus infection yesterday, because when I woke up today, in addition to my sinuses hurting, my ears hurt and all of my top teeth hurt. So if the antibiotics would hurry up and do their thing, that would be great.

Our wings are not tired.

Do your thing, antibiotics! I'm sorry there is ick on your birthday.

I hope yours gets less shitty, or maybe a lighter drill is in order.

Happy to report that the wrist brace helped a lot and I achieved 3 bathroom towel hooks. Now for the coat ones at the front entry. Unlike Florida people wear jackets and stuff here. They are these wood wedges which look good with my all pine wood interior. [link]

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Steph!

Ugh. It is very hot here(temps up near 100 plus humidity) and the AC in my car is not working well. Add to that hot flashes, and I am not very happy right now. Mr. S continues to disregard what we say(like taking off towards the pool though I ask him to stay until Gary's ready to go) and messes around in our stuff.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Breaking in to say Happy Birthday Steph!

I skipped and skimmed but 1. Yay lisah on the new job! 2. Yay smonster on the moviing! 3. Boo heat! 4. Glad askye's Dad got treatment. 5. Sorry to dispute Teppy, but Captain America is the best MCU movie! Winter Soldier has too many destroyed cars of random regular people. It made me anxious. And I love Steve and Bucky. 6. Swift recoverly to Beverly's husband.

And in me news, I had a TERRIBLE allergic reaction last weekend wherein one side of my throat swelled to the point I couldn't talk or swallow. Maria came with benedryl and we drove to the ER, but didn't go in, because I was better by the time we got there. I had been feeling "not right" for several weeks, and somehow the treatment for this allergy has fixed me and I went to my regular doctor. So now I am on Benedryl until I can get more answers from specialists, but all my brain fog is gone... Like brain fog I was blaming on menopause that I have had since before Christmas. And I had been having vision problems, which are also gone with the allergy treatment. But I felt like myself this week and weekend for the first time in so long!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm glad the allergy treatment cleared up your other symptoms, Sophia.

Happy Birthday Teppy! May the birthday megrims depart with a swiftness.

As should your lingering cold symptoms, David.

I'm glad the brace helped, Laura. And may your wrist recover more.

Yay job, lisah!

Reporting that DH is doing much better today, and thanks for the good wishes.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Sophia, ack. Glad you're better.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Much love and recovery to the DH, Bev. He's a special guy.

Happy birthday, La Teppe. I shall watch Winter Soldier in your honor because it's the best movie. Or at least one I've watched more than Ocean's 11.

We are meeting a dog tomorrow. Owner has developed debilitating allergies and needs to rehome. I don't know how I feel about a new dog.

Sophia, I'm so glad you're doing better, and I am also fascinated by what Benadryl is the magic cure for (other than your allergic reaction -- I mean the fact that your vision problems and brain fog went away thanks to Benadryl).

Sophia, I did actually say to Tim during the scene when the fake cops are pursuing Nick Fury and destroying cars right and left, "Wouldn't you be pissed if you were just going about your day, maybe driving to lunch, and some Hydra assholes destroy your car???"

I guess I am assuming that the brain fog and vision was somehow due to swelling in my head/eyes possibly due to histamine reaction.... that the benadryl is reducing. I also am no longer full of rage, which is interesting. It is really weird. Every 10 years I have some weird allergy health problem that no one can solve until it just resolves itself or there is something like benadryl or aquaphor. Surely there is something truly wrong, but I can't deal with the doctors sometimes. At least this time I am thin, so I guess I don't have to have everyone telling me it must be my weight, like I did with the full body rash/peeling that I had 10 years ago.
