May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I spent nearly 3 hours darning my favorite socks (I'm very slow), while watching this very very long video about Star Wars and politics and fascism and Hollywood: [link]

I ended up going over to a friend’s to watch “Stick It” and “Bend it Like Beckham” which one of us hadn’t seen. We wanted to make it a marathon with “Bring It On” of movies with Verb It in the title that should have been gayer, but it got too late in the evening for us. But it was a plan. We now want a remake of Bend it like Beckham where the girls are gay and Joe the coach falls for Tony the gay cousin.

Well, we just had a fab visit at the National Gallery of Art, and while the cafeteria is not the greatest, I was about to fade away, so, gumbo and tuna it is. Dinner last night was great, though!

Next some museum store browsing, and then we head to the Archives. And dinner.

I should really, really visit alla this stuff more often. I mean, it's here, and it's mostly free. And then I wouldn't need Shir or whoever to read the map for me... I'd know how to get around the museum, ha!

How's everyone's Sunday going? It's quiet up in here.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

We now want a remake of Bend it like Beckham where the girls are gay and Joe the coach falls for Tony the gay cousin.

I would so watch this.

I was basic yesterday and re-watched Star Wars original trilogy. Didn't mean to...but I pulled up New Hope for background music while attempting cat yoga and then got sucked in. Like ya do. And yes, I was making a cat yoga video to entertain the new guy. Ended up posting the most entertaining parts yesterday on the social medias. It's probably the least sexy video anyone has ever made for their lovah, LOL.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Cat yoga and National Archives! Days well spent.

I got out early to run and then was thwarted by an event at Kezar Stadium, so I just walked further into the park and back home. So I got my steps in anyway, if not the flights.

I made my favorite omelette (onions sauteed in butter, diced ham, feta) and it was glorious should have held me, but now I want more food. C'mon, metabolism, try harder.

I have to print pictures out this week for the Memorial and take care of all the shit I haven't done. Like...get the insurance in order for this event. So many details.

Cat yoga and amazing-siunfing omelettes for the wins!

We are now heading to a leisurely dinner, after much walking today. We are both looking forward to sitting... and eating, but mostly sitting, not gonna lie.

Much glue. Such rhinestones. Wow.

However, it's going to look amazing under the stage lights.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I met up with smonster for brunch. She’ll be staying with me tonight and tomorrow, as she looks into possibly relocating here. It’s been fun to reconnect, and it would be lovely to have her gracing the lists of localistas.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Less than 2 weeks now; so close!

How's everyone's Sunday going? It's quiet up in here.

Car wash and groceries and then 30 minutes on the bike. I kind of want ice cream for dinner but have salmon thawing instead. The NYT Spelling Bee had me bee-fuddled earlier, so I'm giving it another shot while the salmon thaws. I need to put in about an hour of culling the closet after dinner. Super exciting Sunday stuff.

Rhinestones, smonster, and all kinds of activity coming out of Ohio Nice! Just walked back to the hotel with Shir, who is now prepping to head out tomorrow... safe travels! My DH is picking me up shortly. Great weekend, and I will sleep well tonight!
