Our wings are not tired.

I'm up for a round of Onerous Tasks Accountability if you want to play...
David, for you: ⭐️

Indeed. ⭐️

I called Spectrum and put my internet in NY on vacation mode, which should have been done several months ago, but apparently didn't happen. Super annoyed that I paid for internet on a place with no power for 4 months. I took it off autopay so at least I will know if I neglect to turn it off again.

Dusted, swept, and cleaned the floor in the hallway, which was in dire need. Also, cleaned the door jamb, which had accumulated many moons, or perhaps years, of handprints.

Still on today's list are dishes, kitty litter replacement, feeding animals, and taking Skinner to the dog park.

I also attended the condo board meeting and might take over the social committee responsibilities. Still mulling it, but told them I would consider it. They have been pushing me to do this for some time.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Laura, you kicked some ass! That's a lot.

Gold star for you too: ⭐️

Xfinity called back and they were able to fix it remotely. So I don't have to futz around waiting for a tech tomorrow. However, they noted my modem was four years old and I should just exchange it at an Xfinity store (for free) for a new one.

Now I'm all exhausted and sweaty from the pig cage but I've got to go to Pilates soon.

Oh well. Shit got done.

I did two loads of laundry, changed the sheets, made Gf breadmaker bread, unloaded and re-loaded the dishwasher, had a two-hour, yet also productive, meeting, and... huh. Feels like there was more.

Anyway, I've been very slug-like with cleaning for a while, so I'm doing bit by bit. It can get worse when I'm "alone," so with DH up in PA, I'm trying to focus on being a grown-up person living in/cari n g for a home instead of a toddler rolling around in a pig pen.

I vote you were a grow-up person today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Here y’all are being all responsible and getting things done and I’m all “I don’t wanna go grocery shopping, I’ll just go home and collapse”

Maintaining the balance, perhaps

"The thing about dorks is we stick together. Mostly for gaming purposes but also because it wards off jocks, gutter clowns and other Stephen King-like threats." - Lauren Okie

-t, if it makes you feel better. I'm not getting much done either. I reheated soup and made grilled cheese....that's the extent of my ability to do anything.

Mmm, soup and grilled cheese, that’s a pretty good accomplishment just on the merits of having soup and grilled cheese

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I will note that kat and -t went to dayjobs, and JenP, Laura and myself did not.

So we did things, but you were at your jobs. Jobs are taxing.

I'm tuckered after Pilates and cleaning the cage, but glad to have my WiFi and TV back.

I did some laundry but also realized I paid my one credit card twice and my other one not at all. Oops. (They were very similar amounts). Couldn’t figure out why the one account was texting me all “your bill is due” when I was like “I know I paid that!” Doh!

(Also hi Kat!!)

Hi Kat!

My sister has an A/C issue, and the tech is coming this morning. They just sent her a text with a picture of the woman coming and a full blurb of her history, hobbies, and experience. I hadn't seen that before, but kinda love it.
