It's very rude of them to make you come in! Also, if you come in they should have donuts or pastries and get paid for faffing about.

DH's team just found out they have two use-it-or-lose-it holidays, so he's taking off tomorrow and Wednesday. Thurs. is off, of course. I doubt Friday will a banger workwise either, heh.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."
My company gives us a block of holiday time to use as we wish, rather than specific days off. This is kind of a pain when we don't automatically have Christmas off, but it is nice that I can work on July 4th and save that time for actual PTO.
