I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"Multiple better-educated Buffistas have pointed out that my caffeine molecule tattoo is missing a bond and chemically unstable"

Insubordinate! And Churlish!

Compassionately intolerant

"I am done chasing people."

'Tis the season. At one point, I thought is a generational thing, but I'm seeing the tightening up of friend groups over all the ages.

smonster, Sanity Camp WILL be online! Deets soon.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Ooo awesome.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yeah, I look at the drama of my friends groups from my 20s and I wonder where I found the energy to participate. That plus 2-3 jobs at the time. I need a nap just thinking about it. I do like the small community I’m in now.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Yesterday evening I saw a young couple - I kind of assume they were on their way to prom or some such - the young man was in a nice suit, the young woman was in a floofy pink mini-dress, pink purse, pink platform heels and carrying a bouquet of pink and white flowers. I told her she looked very pretty, so my day wasn't wasted.

I went and bought a dress - haven't worn a dress or even a skirt for at least ten years. Haven't worked up the nerve to wear it yet ....

Ooh, new dress... the right mood will strike to wear it.

Dresses are so great in the summer especially. Creates your own breeze.

The blue sky and the fog are at standoff right now. Normally when I see a wall of fog to the West it's going to roll in, but it's too early in the day and it's more likely the sun will melt it off by mid-morning.

No running today, though, because I have a Zoom call at 10am. But I ran the last two days (after no running in our LA weekend) so I feel okay about it.

Trying to catch up on the bills that went unattended during the run-up to the Memorial and our LA jaunt. Best to keep the phones and water turned on.

I went for a “run” yesterday with my BiL. We went about 5.5 miles but I think only about 1.25 of it was running. The rest was walking. But still! Fun to be able to walk down to a nice trail along the river! Shame they’re probably moving soon.

Tonight I fly home and get to see my puppy, whose birthday it is! Yay. He’s the best.

Aw, Happy Puppy Birthday!

I've walked the doggo a couple of times today, though that's really not a lot, because she's not much of a walker... I've encouraged her to extend her outside visits, more like. Pool tonight. Must do.
