Whew! That's the important one
Have a good birthday, Hil. Guess I've got to do something else now since Netflix pulled "Archer" off, although the marathon was fun.
Work Nemesis thinks he can weaponize learned helplessness against me, little does he know I am 47 year old with two almost-grown children and no fucks to give.
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I'm mostly spending the day catching up on emails and grading quizzes, but I might go see a play this weekend.
Big jolt! Only a 3.6 but the epicenter was less than 2 miles away, not even as far as the interstate. I actually thought maybe we have been struck by lightning at first because it was just one jolt and a loud noise
Yikes! Stay safe!
Heh, we were on a Zoom call and my boss was immediately all "do we need to leave the building?" but no one (most of them were remote) jumped in to support that and we just when on with it. I was checking for confirmation from my tracking apps and not paying attention to the call, of course.
Stay safe !
Happy Birthday Hil!,

Today at work they reminded us to check out schedule for the week of Thanksgiving. I looked and it looked like I expected. But then I looked closer and realized I do not have tomorrow off . Instead I have Tues and Thursday off next week (our weeks run Sat-Sun). So that means I'm working 6 days in a row.
And work friend let me know she has gotten a referral to see a psychiatrist about medication and about seeing a different therapist. It sounds like her boyfriend has been encouraging her. And she hasn't texted you to me about any of the stuff she's been stressing over.
Happy birthday, Hil!
It’s Michigan-typical cold here now. Which is fine. But usually my body sort of adjusts, so I still feel the cold, but I don’t get all shivery. And that hasn’t kicked in yet. Annoying.
The skies cleared around sundown yesterday, so I went out to try and see the aurora. I stopped at a couple of likely places, with no luck, even through the camera. Then I went home, saw a faint glow from the parking lot, and I was able to catch some red and green on my phone’s camera.
