Man, why has it gotten so hard to identify yourself? What are trying to prevent with all that? That’s not a likely route for identity theft, surely. All this people needing to prove who they are all the time does rub me the wrong way. It’s something I remember learning in Civics class, I think, that we were not the kind of society that required everyone to carry papers. Sigh.
Anyway. Diastolic number is still high (the bottom number, whichever that actually is) so a phone appt with my GP and another follow up in November. Grocery pickup on the way home. And yet this week is not over yet.
I'm still the primary answerer of all covid and vaccine mandate questions for my work, but we did have 3 people start yesterday and today they took calls and emails. I am rapidly updating the FAQ as we learn what questions are coming in more and more.
We got 1 issue in the vaccine verification system worked out, but I got a view into the data side of the third party verification system and it was missing 10 out of about 40 employees in my department in their "view by department" area, soooooo not great data integrity. It also did not have my vaccine info even though I filled it out last Monday. I had meeting with the head of OIT today and he now know that I was the QC dept for a start up once and am happy to point all these faults out DAILY to him.
The "deadline" is tomorrow, but we all know that will not be met - still tptb will not send out an email updating dates that were sent out in the original email in mid-sept.
Still no waiver form. still no one stepping up saying send all the really angry policy-bashing people to me. still no one from Health dept saying - hey let us take on some of this since testing and waiver requirements should somewhat fall to us.
I am beat.
That sounds exhausting, msbelle
I'm beat just thinking about it. Sorry that it is so frustrating.
This Tumblr post about TV Tropes is driving me nuts and I've talked myself out of replying to it three times, but I can at least share the agony with people who will understand.

I am having exactly this reaction: [link]
Indeed. So much to unpack and so many reasons not to
