I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Thrive to spite them

I really really need to make an appointment for an eye exam and see if my near vision has gotten worse enough I can have stronger distance on my trifocals. Or at least find out how much a back up pair of glasses would cost if my vision isn't getting that bad.

I had today and I have tomorrow off. I should be doing things like figuring out what I'm going to take to the beach next week and figure out what kinds of groceries to order and stuff like that. Only I did my typical day off and mostly lay in the dark and then later nap. But I realized as busy and as hectic as it's been I need the sensory relief of dark and quiet (or mostly quiet).

And I played Minecraft with E.

Now it's 10:15 and I'm awake. Which isn't the best since I need to get in the habit of getting up earlier for work.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I’m taking out my anger in very subtle ways.

I support you getting through this however works. If you need an alibi, I am here. With you. And we were totally doing a thing.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

And we were totally doing a thing.

It had better be buying vuvuzelas.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Cash, I am so very sorry for your loss, and also livid on your behalf.

Vuvuzelas or not, I've got your alternate alibi right here, should it be needed.

I own a vuvuzela and would be happy to ship it to friends in Indiana and ask them to go play it somewhere.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I love the offers of alibis and vuvuzelas.

Tonight’s coping mechanism is sponsored by Jefferson’s Bourbon.

Tomorrow will be hangover and shopping for funeral outfit with my sister.

Hey ND! How are you and Pix enjoying the trip? I hope you are able to get some serious R&R accomplished. Sending happiness wishes to the happy couple. So glad you could join them.

Cashmere, all my sympathy. Do whatever you need to cope. Don't think I can provide much of an alibi, but I look really respectable if you need me.

And I also thought of the vuvuzuela ... they're smaller, cheaper (so buy two! for when the parental units trash the first one) and there doesn't seem to be a learning curve - they're loud and annoying from the start, where a beginning bagpiper just gets squeaks (from what I've heard about).

Also, in me me me news, in the ten minutes I waited for the bus, I managed to acquire three mosquito bites. One on my ankle inside my sock. sigh ... I keep antihistamine ointment at hand, since mosquitoes seem to think I'm really delicious, but three?
