Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

I am just thankful that so far today I am not dealing with any new identity theft (….so far) and that I don’t have a headache. I got no work done Tuesday because of the identity theft stuff (being on the phone, going in to the bank) and other appointments, and then I had a headache pretty much from Tuesday night until now, and spent most of yesterday sleeping. So I’m hoping to get work done but also like, dishes and laundry.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

See this is why you need a secret identity. And a sock puppet account. And a stage name.

This looks promising: A saliva test for COVID-19 outperforms nasal and oral swab tests, according to a new study.

I prefer spitting to being jabbed inside my nose.

Our wings are not tired.

May the day continue to be headache and id-thief free!

A saliva test for COVID-19 outperforms nasal and oral swab tests

I'd be good with not doing the nasal swab anymore.

Looks like I'm going back to Puerto Rico at the end of October.

Safety~ma. I probably shouldn't jab the universe, but we are feeling pretty lucky that neither DH nor I have contracted this virus considering how many people we know who have been infected. Plus spending so much time in medical offices, plus the travel stuff. We are pretty darn cautious, but either we are doing something right or just are lucky.

Darnell Rockefeller University Laboratory (DRUL) saliva test

How much do I love the synchronicity of the lab's acronym and the medium of the test? SO MUCH.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Hahah DRUL is great!

See this is why you need a secret identity. And a sock puppet account. And a stage name.

I mean, I have a stage (drag) name! And meara is not my legal name! Maybe it should be.

What's your drag name?

I've done the running of the steps (no bulls involved), and procured and quaffed Second Coffee.

I'm now perusing the cake possibilities at Schubert's Bakery for Emmett & Matilda's bdays next week (they will be 25 and 15 respectively).

Please look at the Schubert's cakes and tell me what you would get that is not just a chocolate/chocolate cake. (It may have chocolate in combination with something else like the Fuerst Pueckler): [link]

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

OK, I checked those cakes and now I'm drooling (no test involved). I'd go for the Tiramisu, Chocolate Mousse or that other mousse cake (didn't write down the name). I'd go for the Opera Cake if I didn't hate hazelnut flavors.

In the drool/DRUL news, I saw they're also training dogs to sniff out COVID ... which would definitely be an improvement on any kind of jabbing.
