I'm glad that I seem to have inspired some vaccine resolutions. However, the last 24 hours have been rough. Soon after posting, one or more of my shots hit me like a ton of bricks. Fever similar to my second COVID shot but with many more chills. Many more. I was shaking so hard it was comical. Temperature finally came down to normal around midday. Splitting headache for much of today.
Still, better than having Shingles. And, as the MG (helpfully?) pointed out, now I can step on all the rusty nails I want!
Used my cauliflower thins as the bun, with lettuce, thick slice of heirloom tomato (seasoned), bit of pickle and it was SO decadent. That's not really diet food with all the fatty deliciousness, but I certainly didn't miss the traditional bun.
I think I need more info on these cauliflower thins. We eat burgers with cheese, but without buns, so we don't really do toppings and I miss them.
Also, this is just to say, everyone deserves perfectly dyed, fabulous hair.
That sounds miserable, megan, but, yeah, better than shingles.
I think I need more info on these cauliflower thins.
This is what I got: [link]
You can also get them at Trader Joe's: [link]
I will note the first time I made a sandwich with this (Pastrami with Swiss) my nose immediately said, "That's not bread!" Imagine the look on a dog's face when it smells another dog on you. My brain said, "Oooh! Cheater!"
However, once past that barrier it's inconsequential.
Today we celebrate the birth of Trudy Booth! May the year to come bring much joy and laughter.
The shingles vax hit my husband hard, so it could very well be that.
David my problem is long term vs short term rewards. Would avoiding this potato chip and the next one help me be not in pain someday? Sure. But would it make my mouth and my dopamine receptors happy right NOW? Yes.
Being on my ADHD medication has helped me so much with this.
At Walgreens to get my flu shot and there are a couple people getting their first COVID shot. Mentally giving them a thumbs up.
We're having the first covid test for my household tomorrow (PCR at the Walgreen's drive through.) Um, yay? Dillo has a stuffy nose and headache and maybe a little fever. The only places he goes are school and the bus, and both require masks, but they also include many, many people in close proximity.
I know we're lucky not to have really even worried about this before now but I still hate it! And we won't have results before Monday, so I have to decide if it's likely enough to be covid to keep him home from school, and how do you even decide that?
You don’t have any guidance from school on that, flea? I feel like you have to assume it could be in til you get the results, but I realize that might not be the practical approach. Negativity~ma
No reactions to the flu shot for me this year, btw, not even a sore arm which I remember as the common thing in the past. I have been taking it easy today because yesterday was exhausting, but that’s just lack of sleep and unaccustomed posture.
