Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Anyone around here have HRIS experience? Found out we’re gonna have a leadership position open.
Hilarious.
Languishing?
Yes!
Took my son and GF to get their jabbination this morning, and have concluded that I am not the biggest baby in the land. My son takes that honor. Good grief. But it is done. Phew. This is why I went with J&J. I knew I could never get him there twice.
Timelies all!
That's all I've got.
Excellent work, Laura. Gold star!
Today is hard - having a lot of shoulder pain, which is kicking off tooth pain, and just found out that some friends who moved from Utah to Washington when we did are relocating to Orlando end of next month. Yes, being in the same time zone as your employer is useful, and 20 minutes from WDW is not bad, but -!
Amy, I feel like for the past many years since I moved here, it's been great because generally people have been only moving TO the area....but I definitely feel like the tide has turned recently and now people are moving away. Which is something I don't miss from DC (where everyone seemed to only be there for a few years)
Hope that my son isn't in total misery today. Last night he had fever, chills, nausea, headache, and was generally miserable. He hadn't taken anything because he hadn't eaten all day and didn't want to take something on an empty stomach. Amazingly he didn't tell me it was all my fault for making him take a vaccine. I'm going to have some comfort food delivered later today. It is 45 minutes each way to visit him so I'm going to not do that today. He only said the GF was nauseous. She had worked all day after her shot while he called in. Sigh.
Why... didn't he just eat something? Nevermind, I know there probably isn't a satisfactory answer. Sigh indeed.
Speaking of my dad, my mom is worried he may have been exposed to COVID-19 at his class reunion because of some symptoms he finally complained about last night. You'd hope a bunch of 70-year-olds would be vaccinated, but I'm 100% sure it wasn't required to attend and he wouldn't have thought to ask. Ain't nobody wearing masks where I've been in Michigan and Indiana even though 50-60% of people should be according to vaccination rates. Hopefully we can convince him to get tested so the rest of us know if we need to get tested, too.
