I'm glad he got tested, Dana!
I just looked into testing before I fly home and it looks like my doctor's office isn't doing them anymore, and since I'm not symptomatic, I'd have to go to a location farther away pending availability or go to an urgent care and have them bill my insurance. I hope the results let the brain relax, Dana!
Yay for getting tested. It is a relief knowing even when you know.
Timelies all!
Still seeing a fair number of masked folks when I go to the supermarket. Restaurants are less so.
In other news, today is Mr. S's birthday. He's 6.
I'd have to go to a location farther away pending availability or go to an urgent care and have them bill my insurance.
Can you get to a drugstore? We got it done at a CVS, and Walgreens does them too. Though, those are drive-through, so I have no idea how they'd handle that in stores without that option.
I'm not seeing drugstore options near me, so if I want to get tested as an extra precaution, I'll have to another office location on public transit. My at-home testing device gave me a negative test result on July 9, I'm still masking indoors, and SF is 75% fully vaccinated (12+), so I'm not super concerned. But I am irritated that my testing options have become less convenient.
I have called Comcast. After getting somewhat homicidal with the phone tree, I did reach a person who SEEMED helpful and did not work very hard to up-sell me. Theoretically my service disconnection will happen tomorrow, and I can get the equipment returned via the UPS store this week. But I am documenting everything in the event of shenanigans.
Happy Birthday to Mr. S! I hope he is having a good day.
I may be a bad person ... the rest of the office is coming back and one, a new staff person, arrived to find that the docking station for her computer isn't there. I have it.
Nah, bad would be what I would have done, which is swap them out and leave the broken docking station there (presuming that there are no identifying numbers/marks)
We are fully back in the office August 1. And apparently those of us who could (pre-Covid) work from home on occasion will now need to undergo an pre approval process, which is annoying. My boss is going to try to submit her plan for me as “can work from home as needed”. They just really want the secretaries back, and there is a revolt among the secretaries. So now it is being framed that staff cannot work from home, but faculty can. I mean, I get why they are revolting, but I am annoyed that it is effecting those of us who previously had flexibility.
