Yes, that is a good plan
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
My tooth aches. I am most unhappy. I've been rinsing and icing and trying to ignore it, but I am a super big baby and don't want to have to deal. My current theory is that maybe I got a berry seed stuck under my crown. You'd think I'd be better about dealing with painful stuff by my age, and yet. Wah!
Timelies all!
Today is one of Gary's days in the office, so I am wrangling Mr. S by myself. He's being annoying as usual.
Toothaches are the worst. Like other places you can ice it but usually a tooth ice will hurt more!!
I just refininaced my mortgage. Or, I guess, signed a bunch of stuff to do so but still have to go wire a bunch of money on Monday? Changing to a 15 year and 2.25% which is nuts.
Ice seems to help, although it isn't swollen. Just numbs it I guess.
2.25% is great. Makes it so much easier to toss extra towards principal. I would refinance, but still crossing all digits that this couple that looked at the house on the 4th buy it.
I'm going to go back and copy some more stuff and keep it so when the brain weasels start I can go back and show them and maybe share some of it with my therapist. If y'all don't find that weird.
Excellent plan.
Not weird, askye
I did not manage Loki or Leverage with lunch. And now that I can lie do em in front of the fan I don’t know if I can keep my eyes open. Perhaps nap and then tv…
I hope you were able to watch some Leverage because it's really good . I'm behind on Loki.
I tried to talk to our neighbor today but I startled him when I kind of yelled over the fence. Then he accused me of being passive aggressive when I explained I was trying to catch him outside because I didn't want to knock on his door since he threatened to call the police last time.
I mean maybe it was but it's not like that wasn't what happened.
So I tried the direct approach and he called me rude and it went south from there. He also made it sound like he is living next to Walter white
Well, you tried. It really is an awful situation. I don't know what more you can do other than attempt communication.
I've never had anywhere near that level of despicable neighbors, but I've had 3 grumps to deal with, two I broke, and one remains a grump. The one I have never broken is a grumpy old man neighbor who never smiles. Ignores kids selling lemonade, never ever responds to waves and hellos as he walks by and so forth. The Only time he ever spoke to me was to tell me that my flag should be at half staff when Reagan died. I told him I wasn't the post office. Still for over 20 years every time he walks by DH or I will wave and say hello, just to amuse ourselves. The other countless neighbors who walk by our house, since it is on the park, all wave and often chit chat.
I'll mention the other two since it is early morning and I am distracting myself from my toothache. We rented an office in a strip mall for several years and next door was a Mailbox USA. The owner was a zero personality grump. Any of you who know me know that I always smile. It is my natural expression and I am friendly and chit chatty with strangers. I went next door often to mail things and Ken never smiled, just did whatever business like he hated his job although he was the dang owner. Over the course of a couple years I wore him down and he actually smiled and exchanged pleasantries with me when I would visit. I counted that as a big success. The other is a super bitchy customer office manager. She was just nasty in every encounter; everything was unacceptable, urgent, or had to be done immediately. Of course it is really only the doctors I have to please, but I took her as a project. Always pleasant, taking care of her complaints with an abundance of explanation and joking. Always making friendly Monday or weekend comments. Even sent her gold stars when she proudly told me she figured out a tech thing without calling me. Now her emails are all filled with thank you and pleasantries. Can't win them all, but sometimes I just have to make rude people a project.
So my tooth. My niece brought me some clove oil and antibiotics. Called my PCP and he is calling in a script, alas it was after 6 yesterday and the pharmacy was closed so later this morning on that one. Used the clove oil, anbesol, rinsed with salt water, peroxide mix, antiseptic mouthwash, and slept with my mouth guard. (I alternated the stuff, not all at once) It is less miserable this morning, but still not happy. I think a combo of my grinding and maybe getting berry seeds under the edge of my crown caused the issue, but still hoping I don't have to find a dentist up here. Also, toothaches suck. Teeth are seriously poorly designed and evidence of either no god, or a really vindictive one.
Today is a most important day, because this day we celebrate the birth of hippocampus. Happy birthday! May today and all the days to come be filled with love and joy.
