Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I was able to access the new Leverage thru Prime. I’m trying to keep myself to one episode per day to make it last.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Personally, I'd rather deal with the pits when eating then pit the cherries.

This was me, BUT…

I bought a cherry-pitter this year just for clafoutis.

Although I have not tested it yet.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm incapable of that kind of self-control.

Punishingly Intricate

Leaving the cherry pits in clafoutis is supposed to make it more almond-y and I'm pro that!

I do not have a cherry pitter but last year found out my reusable metal straws are pretty perfect for that.

Went for a walk with a friend and the dog got covered in what I fear is foxtail grass, which if I don't get it out of his fur could really hurt him. So I spent quite a while digging through his fur (HE HAS SO MUCH FUR) but doubt I really got all of them, though I got bunches. Also worried there's some in his paws or he ate it or sniffed it and it will tunnel through to his brain and kill him (I've heard horror stories!)

Our wings are not tired

Clafoutis is my hammock stand.

I think the cherries occluded my hammock signal.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

I am near Bev and we will watch tomorrow!

Vacation has consisted of oversleeping, eating food I didn't cook, hanging out at Bev's and going to many bookstores not generally close to me. Oh, and attending a fireworks display with Ken on the 4th, then tromping around the Bellevue Botanical Gardens with him the next day. Hadn't seen him since Christmas; there was a lot of hugging.

Yeah, that's super common in the Bay Area. Any grasses that look like wheat you need to keep away from during the summer months. If you pull it and it catches on your fingers, like it has microscopic barbs? Keep the dog on leash and away from all that. I know multiple dogs who have had to have major surgery from foxtails. There are people around here who put mesh cages over their dogs' heads to protect their eyes and ears from foxtails. It's no joke.

I'm glad you took it seriously.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We did not get around to watching Leverage, but there was merriment and talking and catching up to do! I love it when beloved people vacation near me!

Askye, thanks so much for bringing the RSD stuff to attention.

I didn't pursue a formal diagnosis of ADHD (inattentive) because we were without health insurance for a long time, and I wanted to minimize the pre-existing conditions did we ever have the chance to have it. I do have professional medical people among my friends, who've been willing to allow a rambling conversation to wander into "Doc, I have this pain" territory and gotten, "Yip, that's ADHD of a certain kind. Do you want drugs?" Maybe I should have, but, hindsight. The same for ASD. I do a lot of reading, not just Google, Wikipedia, and WebMD, and I'm aware I'm a hypochondriac and usually can guard against "OMG, I totally have that" reactions. But I do recognize a lot of symptoms. I mimic human behavior when I can't scuttle away to safety. And I've had elaborate coping procedures, routines, mechanisms in place beginning when I was five and the information my senses were feeding me did not agree with the "facts" grownups, the preacher, and the tv were telling me.

I'm so glad this information is available now.

Laura, how's the house in Otter Lake now that you've spent some time opening it up? And how's your weather?

Fingers crossed for The Girl, suela. And for your project.

Our wings are not tired.

Sitting here smiling at the thought of amyparker and Beverly hanging out together.

Otter Lake has been chilly and rainy as I progress with the massive clean up. I've managed the kitchen and bathroom and some laundry but not much more. This morning I have grocery pickup 40 minutes away. $210 worth of groceries! Each year all the basic stuff and loading the freezer. I can't even leave canned goods here over the winter because of the freeze thaw thing. I scheduled the pickup at 7-8 AM because I wake up at 5:30 because it is so light out.

Mostly I'm enjoying my alone time and chillin' with my sister. Life is hectic and noisy in Florida, while here it is relaxed and quiet. I saw my first deer as I left my son's house. On Buck Hill Road, which I found appropriate.

Nilly calendar tells me today is sarameg's birthday. Sending best thoughts and wishes for perfect pool conditions.
