Yeah, I'm fully on board the "diets don't work" train, BUT I also can't fit into most of my outside clothes, so I'm going to try some minor changes to see what is sustainable.
That's reasonable. And smaller weight loss amounts are probably a lot more sustainable and enough to make a difference.
One of my favorite breakfasts on that diet was two scrambled eggs and half an avocado with salsa and sour cream. You have to not go crazy with the salsa to meet the carb limits, but you don't need a lot to get flavor.
The pounds all came back, with friends, because I am one of the 95% for whom that happens.
That's what happened to me as I slid back into carb-land, plus my joints started hurting more.
I have never heard of Super Duper Burger before, and am intrigued but the closest one to me is across a bridge so probably not something I will experience any time soon. Someday I will see a sign and think "I should try that" I am sure.
That's interesting about the submarines. I am particularly boggled to learn that "first sea lord" is a meaningful term, apparently.
I have been ordering a few things in my size, and the jeans I just tried on are comfortable and a good fit. Now I just need to do a load of laundry so I can wear them while I'm out and about tomorrow running errands and getting a haircut.
There is also a tradition of displaying a broom: [link]
Is that more war as a sport or sports being like war, I wonder
Timelies all!
Sigh...a local folk-rock band we like was playing an outdoors concert in downtown Bethesda, so we decided to go there and get dinner near the concert site. Alas, Mr. S was totally disregulated, culminating with him running away from us in the parking garage. Seems like he's forgotten how to behave when out to eat.
Ugh, I'm sorry Sheryl. I hope you are able to have a good holiday weekend.
I was just at a friend's house (!!) for what was supposed to be game night, but we never played any games, but what we did do was tell someone that Naomi Novik is astolat, so a good time was had by all.
