I told my parents that I won't be visiting for Christmas.
When I talked to my mom yesterday, she pretty much just assumed I wouldn't be visiting for Christmas and threatened to keep the Christmas tree up until I finally could get out there. It was a relief to have that settled without drama. I wish you luck in wrangling gifts. I need to get on that, too.
Thank you kindly, Shrift & Aurelia.
We're definitely staying put for the holidays, as are T's parents. Just planning to wave over zoom at everyone.
On one hand, I just lost the LDB game. OTOH, it was Grace Jones singing it on the Pee-wee Herman holiday special, so it was the coolest way possible.
I lost it to Christopher Lee's heavy metal version.
Okay, fine, the *second* coolest way.

My preferred way to go out!
In nice news, the baby panda takes his first steps. Wobbly, but walking.

Did I get you here, Toddson? I don't recall hearing it, before the day I posted it here.
LDB is on my favorite Christmas album [link] -- the one we always put on when we're decorating the tree. We did ours the day after Thanksgiving this year (super early for us -- but I needed lights and good cheer), so I LDBed myself, really.
Cindy, I think so ... it was a fairly painless experience.
In other "yes, it's STILL 2020" news, a trailer for a mini movie.
Hi!
I fell behind enough sometime in November to be perpetually a week behind in here ever since and just caught up. I'm so excited to be able to share my mundane thoughts throughout the day again! Have been sendin ~ma and sympathizing and occasionally cheering from my time-shifted lurkerdom, of course
