I came across this a while ago (forget where):
In 1837, two Parisian law school professors had a duel because they couldn't agree on whether a certain passage should end with a colon or a semicolon.

As it should be.
But who won???
WHO WON?!?!
That I don't know ... sorry. (possibly a gerund?)
I support the Oxford comma. I do not support the nonsense that is currently “my job” though. I want to burn it all down.
In frustrating news the judge denied an emergency hearing for guardianship/custody of Jay's son saying there was no emergency. I mean, sure what's the emergency with an 11 year old kid whose Dad has been in the hospital for almost 2 months, half that time in a coma, and is looking at who knows how much time in rehab and we don't know how much he will recover. And whose mom is currently in jail waiting arraignment for violating her probation (for a DUI with property damage) by getting a DUI with property damage while driving on a suspended license.
Dear lord. What is an emergency if not that?!?
Meara I wish I knew. I don't know anything about this judge but I'm picturing someone who looks vaguely like McConnell.
Timelies all!
Yikes for the various family dramas.
spent a good chunk of time today updating lists instead of doing anything. And after having a long talk with someone telling them to take action. arrrgh. ok self, take your own advise. There is lots that needs doing. get on that.
Did someone say hammock?
