Yay Jen!!

Why is my shoulder weirdly super annoyingly painful? Like, it’s not that painful on a 1-10 scale. But it’s just continuing to be painful and I can’t figure out a way to stretch it or ice it or whatever that relieves it and that is obnoxious, especially since I can’t figure out why it hurts. I think I’m just getting old and I hate it.

Always happy to get these. This time around I want to get better about making X number of servings then actually freezing and labeling the leftovers. I have a habit of freezing leftovers but then have no clue what that frozen thing is until I defrost it.

I don't think we anticipate any cicadas here or in Otter Lake. My sister did report that the black flies were particularly vicious this year so I won't go north until they die off. She also reported that the extreme mouse population explosion of last summer doesn't appear to be happening this year, but there have been reports of moles.

I hope the people responsible for rejecting your medically necessary treatment get cicadas in their undies.

Occasional Yard Guy made a HUGE amount of headway in the backyard. He should be able to finish up tomorrow; then we need to put down some grass seed (or decide we want to put down pavers over part of it) and then a border of mulch along the fence. Then I'm getting that hammock. Which I will not be able to use until the cicadas are gone (they're already so loud, and it's not even Memorial Day—I forgot how loud they get).

Holy shit. I am beyond excited.

Cindy I'm sorry your son is still having issues. I hope his doctors will come up with a medication that will work for him.

I am at Mom's! I came up today and I'm spending the night. We had lunch at our fave Mexican place and tomorrow we are going shopping.

So the chian I work for has decided to stop doing wellness checks and have signs that customers who aren't vaccinated don't have to wear masks and employees who are vaccinated don't have to wear them.

I haven't been. Most customers aren't wearing them. I plan on wearing masks when I go to other stores but it has been so hot and I'm a nicer person when my face isn't a sweaty mess behind the mask.

Update on my cousin...he has been swallowing thickened apple juice. And he's been moved to a different floor, where it is for people who are almost ready to go to rehab. Oh!!he took the cup and drank from it himself!

I also have another cousin who lives in Texas and has a son close to Jay's son's age and everyone is trying to coordinate Jay's son going out to Texas for most od the summer. Including a big camping trip.

Evander will be in NC in July. His godmother (not officially but that is the kind of role she plays.. )is going to have him for a week. I will try to work in time when I can see him. I can take off Wed he's here but he is also going to see his other grandmother.

And he passed his black belt test for Tae Kwan Do.

I have zero updates on my life. Except I have Tueadays off for awhile so I'm going pick a cookbook or magazine and try to cook through it on Tuesdays to try and get myself cooking
