What I want to know is who is this Heather Horton and has she been living in a cave? Who looks at the last four years regarding Joss and goes "What a catch!"?

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have to say, I do not want my inhaler communicating with any device, thank you very much, so I am going to avoid downloading the creepy tracking app.
I was looking for a new electric toothbrush, and there were several with Bluetooth. What would an electric toothbrush even be communicating? How much tooth data is there?
I have a new genealogy client, so that's fun. And I've got an eye doctor appointment tomorrow, which means I'll finally be able to see again.
The CDC new guidance is pissing me off. Already two employees have popped by my office saying “so, no more masks, right?“. And one of those people is UNVACCINATED!!! So I explained it all, but I know this is happening everywhere. There is no good way, outside of New York State to know if someone is vaccinated or not.
We have tourists in town and a lot of them have been going around unmasked, even before this latest announcement. I'm keeping the mask on while I'm outside, among other people, just to be safe.
And, in semi-related news, it seems that MS Teams may be worse than Zoom. We've been having ISSUES. sigh ....
Oh MS Teams suuuuuuucks
inhaler; it has built-in sensors that record how often you use the inhaler and can even assess the volume of your inhalation. Then the inhaler can send that information via bluetooth to a phone app.
THIS IS HOW YOU GET SKYNET, PEOPLE. Not everything needs to be a smart thing!
I am raising my hand. Nutty can beat a cheetah!
At our SON in NYS, we are just trying to mandate the students are vaccinated. We are all vaccinated. It isn’t the mask we are concerned about, though, it is just about having 80 people in the room with us it is so hard to teach nursing practice over zoom.
Raise your hand if you were disappointed cheetah isn't on this list:
People are WAY too confident about beating a goose unarmed. Those fuckers are MEAN.
My office is looking at getting everyone back in at some point, just for ... team unity or some shit. We're moving in December to a smaller office (two people are 100% remote, any other requests will be taken on a case by case basis before the actual move). I was talking to our #2 person who was in yesterday and suggested that we have people work two or three days remote/in office (i.e., half works Monday-Wednesday-Friday one week, Tuesday-Thursday the next, with the other half reversing that), which she seemed to find interesting. We've had technical issues - a bunch of computers that people were using to work from home broke down. Several were overheating - my boss had to disconnect his and put it out on his balcony before it overheated and caught fire and one person had the battery in hers literally explode. Other problems were, I think, less dramatic, but the problems seem to have been with the batteries.
