Yikes I’m suddenly glad I got gas on Sunday??
I need to plan to take some time off, I have a lot of vacation time starting to pile up, but I’m about to switch projects at work (even though I just switched two months ago—apparently a good reputation is a dangerous thing) and don’t know when will be good or who will cover for me
Per NPR, there is no real shortage in most of the East, but only a few areas of the Southeast. Also the pipeline is expected to be up by end of weekend or early next week.
Thank you Laura! I'm hoping the coming year will be an improvement ... it almost HAS to be.
In related news, I saw that the vaccines are going to be approved for younger people. (yay) However, they'll need to understand that they will not get a beer after being vaccinated.
I got no beer, but immunized, which nicer!
I just had to run to the bank and none of the gas stations on the route had any lines. The prices seemed crazy though. But then again it has been years since I bought gas so I don't know if it has spiked. Like $3.15 or something. Seems the last time I noticed it was $2.50ish.
I was happy to get the vaccine, but a number of places now offer "shot and a chaser" to encourage those who are undecided. I think I still qualify for the free Krispy Kreme, although I'm not that enamored of the donuts.
And, in honor of my birthday, here's evidence that you're never too old for shenanigans.
Ooh, maybe I will see about getting a free donut tomorrow after my shot! I don't know of anywhere that will give me a beer.
Many happy returns of the day, Toddson!
Happy Birthday, Toddson!
CVS didn't even give me a sticker with my vaccination, much less a beer.
I didn't get a donut, beer or a sticker. But I did get a little card which allows me into Canada.

My Band-aid was boring, I was very disappointed. It's unlikely that there will be sparkly ones for my second on Thursday. When the border reopens, though, I will be very happy to have that card.
Ken had his first yesterday and reports feeling rather blegh - sore and fatigued, but otherwise all right.
CVS gave me a greeting card and a 20% off coupon, so that was nice.
I know I said I was going to recycle my good boxes but really I wanted to find a good home for them, and I did! There is always someone getting ready to move around here.
