"Historically, I was a HUGE fan of his work,"
"Historically" doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence!
Matilda has added doing a Chloe Ting YouTube workout to her morning routine, after she does her run /before school. She has become less feral and doesn't snap at my fingers when they wander too close to her cage.
Dylan has been walking home from school since he returned to in-person learning and daily exercise has made a huge difference to his mood. Also anecdata-lly, I swam this morning for the first time in weeks (reserving a lap lane is a nightmare) and it was awful getting up early enough to do it but I felt wonderful afterwards.
I have actually been getting less exercise since we got a puppy, since our walks tend to be slow and short. You’re not supposed to take a dog running with you until they’re a year or more old! I had no idea. But this week I’m going back to my actual exercise walk after the morning dog walk, when mr. flea and the dog chill and drink coffee (not the dog). And next week I will start back couch to 5k. Really hoping I can get Dillo to join me, because he needs to get out, BAD.

That pupper should stick to decaf only.
Off in an hour or so to go stay with my sister for a week. Other sister is arriving from NY tomorrow. Whee, I be singing I got all my sisters with me soon.
Went to the doctor this morning about all my prolapsed parts. He was super nice and communicative, but I have 3 more appointments now. This test, that test, then the consult to discuss results and options. I'm kinda in a just fix it already mode, but apparently he wants to do stuff right. Sheesh. I don't know if surgery before I go north is going to be an option.
I just told some co-workers what I thought was a pretty funny story about showing Rose (who was 8) an Eddie Izzard sketch full of f-bombs, only to realize none of them knew who Eddie Izzard is.
Rose, who just turned 8, which doesn't seem possible. Also, I guess they need to see the sketch too!
The first step is to try to feel more like a functioning human being and less like a feral world-hating curmudgeon, so I'm working on that.
The daily dog walk at the end of the work day is helpful for me, but also is just doing any single thing that needs doing. I hung up some pictures yesterday and MAN DID THAT FEEL GOOD TO DO SOMETHING! Today I went through a stack of envelopes that have been on my desk for MONTHS! I knew there were no bills or urgent items in there. I tossed more than half of it and put the rest where they need to go. SOMETHING DONE! Tonight my plan is to cook a couple of things.
You folks know what is great? I wandered up to my neighborhood sidewalk sale on Saturday and ran into msbelle and we got to shop together.
True facts! It was like how things were supposed to be when I moved here. Happy fun times.

In fact, she just turned 9! The Eddie Izzard story was from a couple of months ago.
