Me too, Hec. Once in maybe 9th grade (during a blood draw), and the other time as an adult. Big fun!
The four of us were in the living room. My daughter was at one end and started staggering toward me, but I thought to playfully bap me for something I said. She sort of turned toward the couch and said, "Oh no!" right before she went down.
She landed face first in the corner of the couch, but she whacked her jaw on the end table as she went down. We were able to wake her pretty quickly, but then her nose started bleeding. We thought she'd hit her head or nose, but it was her chin/jaw that hurt.
Fainting was a common occurrence when I was in high school. Low blood pressure issues. I grew out of it, but the first time I was a triple digit number on my BP was when I was 38 and pregnant with Brendon. Not anymore, by a long shot. At least I pretty much always knew when it was going to happen and got myself in position.
That said I hope your nieces have mild cases and quick recoveries.
Oh dear, that sounds like it was quite scary, Cindy!
Yikes that’s very scary Cindy! Glad she’s ok!!
I’m glad it’s Friday, and it’s still sunny for a bit longer (back to our usual rain later today or tomorrow, after two weeks of sun!) and I had breakfast with a friend who is in town post-vax, we split a couple pastries and caught up on my patio and I ignored work for 90 minutes. And tonight a friend rented out the tiny spa below the lesbian bar, so four of us are going to soak in the hot tub which is v exciting!!

Fantastic! That sounds like just the thing for you.

I know which one that is! They're open and letting people rent out the place again?
Atropa apparently they are, I guess you can rent for a couple hours for you and up to three friends!
Today is DRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGGING! I even went out and took a walk at lunch. I just want to go home early and start watching movies before my zoom event/entertainment socializing tonight.
Stay safe, Shir! Here's hoping the violence quiets down.
The first time I was called to jury duty, the case I was initially selected for had the brother of my college club's advisor as a defendant. I was excused (I think I could have judged it fairly, but I'd have felt really guilty if I voted against him.) Luckily I was moved to a pretty cut-and-dried case in which all involved parties were strangers to me.
I am in awe of you people who have never had jury duty or only once or twice. I've been called so many times I've literally lost count. Never actually been seated on a jury though, thankfully. I feel like I have a hard enough time making decisions in my own life that I don't want to be responsible for decisions about anyone else's. I've made it to voir dire about 4 or 5 times, but either low enough not to get seated or excused. Since I've been transferring to the Vista court rather than Downtown SD, I've never even made it out of the jury room (knock on wood).
