Timelies all!
Happy Birthday ND!
I took today off because the nanny wasn't available to pick Mr. S up from school. I ended up doing a few more errands.
Nova hasn't been eating much in the last week, so I dropped her off at the vet first thing in the morning and picked her up in the early afternoon. They did a bunch of blood tests and x-rays. A number of her kidney levels were very high and there were a few other problems. They suspected a UTI, and gave her an antibiotic shot and an appetite stimulant, along with some fluids. They sent out her urine for tests, so by Monday we'll know if that was it. She may have to have an ultrasound to see what actually going on. Sigh.
I also picked up a couple of things at the supermarket and some books on hold that came in.
Happy Birthday, Sheryl! I hope Nova responds well. May today be a day filled with delights.
Watching the Prince Philip proceedings. It is a mix of enjoying the pomp and circumstance and being annoyed by announcers billing the time with foolish banter. eta: watching hours behind as I generally do live tv with a huge buffer
Thank you to everyone posting happy wishes for Drew! Not only was it his birthday, it was his 50th birthday! He'd had a really rotten week, but I threw a small party for him with our vaccinated friends last night, and he had a really great time and imbibed a fair amount of good whisky. He's now sleeping in.
That sounds like a good bday!
I went to CVS and got some of the uranium mini eggs, but they were only 50% off, which doesn't seem like enough for this late date.
Timelies all!
Thanks, Laura. It's not been a great day, mostly due to me having to wrangle Mr. S most of the day,(Yes, Gary's work meetings are running all day today and most of the day tomorrow.) and he's been extremely annoying all day.
I'm sorry, Sheryl. I hope you you a break from the wrangling soon. I'm sure you are exhausted.
I finally did my stupid taxes and it took me as long to find the one typo that was keeping my forms from being accepted as the whole rest of the process. No, that's not fair. It took longer to find the forms in my mail pile.
We have sent Casper off to prom. I told her best friend that she was rocking a Buffy the Vampire Slayer style leather jacket and she said “that’s the best thing anyone has ever said to me.” Also we realized I went to high school with her aunt. I’m so glad Casper has such a good friend.
Prom! Amazing. (Both that baby Casper is old enough for prom and also that they get to have a prom this year.)
