Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I'm on hold with our insurance, trying to find out why they denied my therapy claims (this insurance company is new as of September). My therapist told me there was a problem with the diagnosis code, but the representative I'm on hold with said it might be because telehealth visits are not covered. It's a goddamn pandemic, folks. You're not going to cover telehealth during a pandemic? Do you want to pay for my hospitalization instead?

Send reasonable-decision-making vibes my way. Or, I guess, send them in the direction of the insurance company.

Okay, the nice lady I talked to said she's going to resubmit the claims for review and ask for clarification on their telehealth policy. I guess that's better than just a flat denial. So, fingers crossed.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That’s a bit on the nose. Well done, though.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I am tired of Xmas music. My supervisor started playing it in the lab last week. Luckily she's not in the lab every day.

In related news, I was LDBed on Monday. sigh...

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

The fact I'm doing curbside pickup for groceries exponentially increases my odds of winning LDB this year.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

An excellent correction on that story about the ad: "An earlier version of this story misstated Satan and 2020 were feeding each other strawberries during a date. They were eating a chili pepper."

Volans what do you mean about mail being scanned in? Are you somehow able to see your mail before you get it?? Is this magic?

I have been futless all day. Don’t wanna make dinner.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Volans what do you mean about mail being scanned in? Are you somehow able to see your mail before you get it?? Is this magic?

I get an email with scans of my mail in the morning now.
