She was such a cute little old lady. Lived in a trailer and had pyramids hanging over all the seating places for energy. Lived over 100 years so apparently it helped. Told my mother that dad was going to die, and then he did. Told me that I had to be careful with my husband at the time because I was smarter than him and it hurt his ego to let him know that. She just delighted me all the time because she would say these things out of the blue and just like it just popped into her head. "Would you like some tea dear, oh you are really going to like that kitty you find."
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.

We took the dog with us to the AirBnB in NY for a couple weeks this past winter and it really added a layer of stress. Not super relaxing to have to worry about dog issues.
Yeah definitely right now he’d be one more thing to stress about. But if I wanted to go for longer than a week I’d really have to take him. But maybe when he’s a little older he’ll be more trustworthy and I wouldn’t have to be on guard that he’s not chewing on the furniture or something.
Timelies all!
I've realized that from now on, when we go out of town we will have to hire a pet sitter because of Nova's medications. Not only that, but we'll have to pay for two visits a day.(Her thyroid medicine has to be given every 12 hours.)
Yay for the double-stick, chrismg. I hope your dad's surgery goes well. How was the beef tongue?
I don't think we'll go away any place that we can't take Buffy. She had such a hard early life, I'd feel like we were betraying her. I think DH and I could go for an extended weekend if at least two of the kids were here. She gets very concerned when I'm not home, though.
I understand that, Cindy. My Brandy howled when I wasn't home toward the end. She had to go to work with me. One time I ran to the grocery store for about 45 minutes and when I reviewed the security camera when I got home I saw she stood on the couch and howled the entire time. I never left her again. My current animals are totally fine with staying with family.

Poor baby!
This is one of our favorite places! We've been there multiple times over the years, though it's been a long time since our last visit. It's in Desert Hot Springs on a residential street, and you think you must have made a terrible mistake until you walk through the front door and are in love. They're fed by natural hot springs and cool the pool to something silly like 90 degrees and the huge tiled hot tub to 104.
I can't believe that Pix would post about the El Morocco without mentioning their fabulous sheets. That's just wrong.
ION, I'm that much closer to being fully vaccinated! The City College drive thru site was incredibly well organized and we got in and out with no problems. Plus, since we were renting the car anyway, we had a lovely walk up and around Mt. Davidson, aka the highest point in San Francisco, aka the mountain with the huge honking cross on it. Seemed appropriate for Good Friday.
Wooooot! I got Brendon scheduled for his vaccine at a CVS. First jab on Easter Sunday morning. I told him he could get half price Easter candy while he was there. Can't imagine how many times I clicked before I got a time slot.
So nice to see everyone getting their shots!
The speed at which suddenly everyone is getting shots is amazing!! I feel like half my Facebook got a shot or an appointment today or yesterday!
