I hope the pain improves for you both, sj and JZ. Glad the fog is lifting some, sj.
I messed up my ankle the weekend after Thanksgiving in 2009. And almost 11 years to the day, it decided to ache like a mofo all yesterday. Not sure what I did to set it off, or if it was just some sort of anniversary psychosomatic thing. Anyway, it's much better today. And my impulse order of Marshall's Mackinaw fudge (accept no substitutes!) arrived this morning, so I'm calling it a decent day.
Glad to hear some of the pained Buffistas are improving. I spent the four-day weekend mostly lying down with a heat patch on my back. I DID manage to get two weeks' worth of laundry done, which helped. I had, however, to do some furniture rearranging - mostly smaller pieces of furniture that I CAN move myself (bookcases I move by putting an old towel under one edge and then lifting and shoving from the other side). I watched some old DVDs, read, watched a little TV. Didn't do anything at all special for Thanksgiving, but enjoyed being able to lounge around being lazier than usual.
My boss had sent me a fairly time-consuming project (analyzing some responses to sessions at a virtual conference). There was one minor thing which I asked him about - it was something he'd glossed over - and it turned out it wasn't anything he specifically needed but he spent 20 minutes going over the parts that I did understand. bah! Monday!
My rescheduled morning meeting got canceled. I'm glad I didn't brush my hair again.
{bursts in, out of breath}. After much toil, I think I have my log in/password switch figured out. I missed you guys! {pulls up comfy chair}
I read Ask A Manager and she posted some horrible holiday happenings (gotta keep the alliteration going). Some of them ....
Tim's dad's Covid test was negative, thank goodness. I don't know if the facility plans to re-test him in 2 weeks to be sure (since it could take that long to incubate). I'll poke Tim to follow up on that.
Yo Scrappy, how you been?
