Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

" . . . "

No words.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I was numb all day too, Tom. Got a lot done, which is good because I figure at some unknown point this week I will fall apart.

Well I was going to be late for work anyway, but now my car won’t start.

Got to work no issues, will be taking my computer home today.

My parents are in IN for my uncle’s funeral. All of that generation have their shots now. They are staying in a hotel.

Another aunt and uncle drove up from Texas. The aunt fell at the hotel in TN and was in a lot of pain, but they did not go to a hospital until they got to IN. 1 broken ankle and 1 badly sprained. And they refused and pain meds with opioids. !!! I cannot imagine just riding in a car fir hundreds of miles with a broken ankle.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hugs and love to everyone.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's frickin' cold in San Francisco this morning.

Yet, Matilda got up and ran. Go, Matilda!

And I'm about to go brave the steps myself.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm so sorry to hear about Amy leaving us. I'm glad I'd taken today off before I found out. Need some time for processing. Hard to think of a world without Amy. I know people will leave us in life, but it's never not a hurt that takes time to scab over. And it's hard not to pick at a scab looking for healing underneath, but the picking just makes it bleed again.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I thought that I accepted this, and then spent yesterday unable to do much at work (one of the least productive days I've ever had there). Today a part of me is back again not believing that this is real and insisting that this is unacceptable and not true.

Our wings are not tired.

I do hope that she knew how much she touched all of our hearts. I think she did. Such a beautiful soul. I'm so grateful for the all too brief time spent with her in our lives.

Our wings are not tired.

Laura, she did know. As terrible as this loss is, she had the gift of spending a lot of time (*while knowing* her time was coming to a close) to spend with beloved friends to say goodbye. She really loved the giant Buffista Zoom where we all shared how much we loved her. And I know she had a lot of in-person time in the last few months with her North Carolina peeps.
