I am jealous of y'all doing fun things with color; I really want to make the jump to full-on silver, but my stylist has told me nope. "You would be in the chair for seven hours total because I'd have to strip it, and with your texture we could do it ONCE; you'd be marinading your head in Olaplex until we chopped it off. You're terrible at being patient, but for the love of little green apples, try."

Timelies all!
Quiet here. Mr. S decided at 3pm that he wanted to go to the playground, so he and Gary are still out.
Every now and then my hair hits a point on my neck where it bothers me, and I reach behind my head with the scissors and chop it off. My stylist is going to give me such a look when I get a post-vaccination haircut.
Got word today that my uncle that had a huge decline a couple of months ago with dementia (end up being fluid on the brain that they cannot treat) now has pneumonia and a hospice nurse has been brought in.
JFC.
I am so lucky to have known all my grandparents and to not have lost aunt or uncle yet, and still have my parents.
I'm sorry, msbelle.
ION - this beer I am having for dinner is delicious. Blue Moon Mango Wheat.
I'm so sorry, msbelle

I am not a big beer fan, but I do like Blue Moon beer, I recall.
We spent a decadent day WoWing, going for a drive (including the soon to be neighborhood), and WoWing some more. I am surprisingly wiped out. Got a shake from Sheetsz, too, which is my current fave shake out there. I am such a not-expensive date, I tell you what.
Tomorrow, back into packing.
My life has been so different. We were really locked down for maybe 4-5 months? But the kid and I have gone in for multiple haircuts over the year and I got the last of the navy blue stripped out. I've been going in to an office to work without fail other than a month last March-April. My son's been back in evening martial arts (distanced) and I sit at a cafe while he's there. We pick up food from a local business a couple times a week. The hospitalization rate has been very low, and the mortality rate lower.
I occasionally see someone wearing a mask not over their nose, but rarely...apparently there were a couple people at work that didn't want to wear masks and they got fired. Everyone's been very diligent about safety protocols and it makes a difference.
Got my second shot yesterday. I went to bed very early. Still a little dizzy, but I've been trying to drink a lot of water.
The experience here has also been quite different. We're under a rolling average of 5 cases per day (on an island of 200,000) so we've felt okay to go back to our small in-person game nights with masks. Half of us are now vaccinated. But they're being real slow to proceed through the age groups, I think partly because we have so many essential workers getting it (2 percent of the total population of the island will be getting shots next Saturday in a megaton) and partly because the old people are actually signing up for it.
