"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(Say 'yes.')

Yes!

Since we went full Thanksgiving Elf yesterday delivering foodstuffs all over the Bay Area, we were depleted on side dishes. So I made more stuffing, mashed potatoes, veg and turkey gravy today.

Really liking the Apple Cream pie now that it's been in the fridge for a bit. Need to try the Bluberry/Raspberry pie with ice cream, I think.

I'm still chuffed about yesterday. It was disappointing when EM cancelled, and when Emmett had to pull out it was looking like a full on disaster. But taking it to the road and delivery treats made all the difference. It was adventuresome and beautiful instead of desultory. And then the Zoom calls with JZ's family, and Emmett/EM were really fun.

Instead of nursing a Bummed Out Hangover, I feel energized and connected.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's great, David!

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

Instead of nursing a Bummed Out Hangover, I feel energized and connected.

I mean this 100% sincerely: I love seeing my extroverts get the energizing people-time they need, especially because the pandemic has drastically curtailed that out of necessity.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Echoing Steph. I mean, I barely recognize stay-at-home precautions they're so like my everyday. Except for the part where now I'm told I can't I want to, like a cat. Or a two-year-old.

But StY is suffering--he's such an extrovert, quarrantine's been really hard on him.

So David, I'm glad you had lovely weather and companionship on your Thanksgiving Dinner Delivery Drive yesterday. And a feast at home to enjoy.

I have a whole pumpkin pie, plus a bit left of the first one. I should have pumpkin pie for breakfast. Thanks for the tip!

especially because the pandemic has drastically curtailed that out of necessity.

I had a whole ecosystem of baristas, bartenders, comicbook/bookstore/record clerks that I never see anymore. Not to mention the parents of Matilda's friends that I'd formed friendships with. And those are just my supplemental vitamins for a healthy extrovert diet.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This was the route we took. Let's see if I can put this Google link in: [link]

It worked!

You basically had a mini road trip, with bonus food delivery! Sounds like a great way to spend Thanksgiving.

Typically in SF traffic across three bridges that would have taken like 5 hours, most of it bumper to bumper. Instead we did the whole thing in 2 hours with gorgeous weather and views on the bridges. Plus we got to see everybody! And listen to Van Morrison.

And since I gave Emmett two bottles of wine and a bottle of champagne with his food, he was feeling quite cheery by the time of the Zoom call that night.

Our wings are not tired.

That does sound like a perfect day, David.

Seriously, with my station at the polls being the front door I had hellos and goodbyes to a couple hundred people. It was blissful and satisfying for this people person. And quite a number of them were chatty too!

Who would have thought Twitler would spend $3 million on a gift for us this holiday season?

Ha! That type of headline and his appointed judges turning him away left and right are quite the delight. I honestly didn't think he could act like such a fool of a sore loser though. I don't know whether he says all these ridiculous things because he thinks his cult likes to hear it or if he is in such a bubble he believes it. I think the former. It is likely he thought his judges would be "loyal". Can't fire lifetime appointments, dude.
