Our wings are not tired

I got my first vaccine shot on Saturday. CA has started on educators and I'm teaching and Kristin pointed me at a site to track down vaccinations at Walgreens and I was able to drive up to Lancaster and get one on Saturday. I'm glad to have mine, but it shouldn't take the same type of process as getting a recently released Xbox. Seriously, I got an Xbox Series X for Kristin for Christmas/Birthday and I was just able to do it after months of having trackers running to show exactly when they pop up, and finally I was sitting at my computer when they became available on the Microsoft site for 3 minutes and I snagged one.

For the vaccine there is a site that monitors Walgreens and Rite aid and gives you up to the minute reports of which ones in which zip codes have appointments so that you can log onto the Walgreens site and put in the suitable zip code in order to get an appointment. This is crazypants.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The day I got our appointments, I spent hours refreshing the CVS and HEB sites, along with periodically checking other sites that forced me to go through the whole process each time.

Our wings are not tired.

I don't think FL is doing any under 65 people. DH isn't on any wait lists. My sister in FL goes Wednesday for her 1st, and my sister in NY has had both hers. My NY niece and nephew have also had both theirs because she is a teacher and he is EMS. My brother the wacko of course won't get one. Because he does love the conspiracy theory. Sigh.

Laura, did I miss where you all are moving to? Is this your second move in only a few years or am I mid-remembering?

I've owned this house for 22 years, but spent a year or so in Pompano Beach while DH was working on this house. There is little available for sale right in this neighborhood and the potential buyer reached out to me directly although it isn't listed. He and his wife really seemed to like it a lot and I think they are only looking at one other place, which is not as nicely located, but cheaper. So since this is their retirement destination let's hope they thin it is worth the extra $. From my google~fu I am sure they can afford it. And they liked it. So make me an offer I can't refuse already. Wife was clearly ready to be a Floridian as she showed up to view the house in super short cutoffs, and barefoot, he in golf type outfit. They were here for a holiday weekend for her birthday, and house hunting, so I was amused. I didn't tell her she wouldn't love my tile floors so much over time if she goes barefoot.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have the same thing, Toddson. I am in the city and use public transportation, but my zip code prevents me from accessing the one set up for bus riders! The other sites have no appointments, and work is understandably getting the healthcare workers first. Although I am fairly annoyed that people in my same position who work for the medical school are getting them at work...

I have the comorbidity thing, and student contact, but I am not required to do student contact too much unless I get the shot.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I could use some advice from the hive mind. I have to write up the first pass at notes from committee Zoom calls. And I'm really, really bad at it. It's one thing my boss - who finalizes them - wants me to be better at. I haven't been able to find much in the way of resources - we're a small not-for-profit and these are committees. Most of the information I've been able to find has been for upper-level groups - like a Board of Directors - and their guidelines don't seem to apply. Any suggestions?

Also - weird phone call of the day (I'm the only one in the office and handle calls that come in): I answered the phone with the usual "(name), how may I help you?" to be answered by "this is (name) at Pepco, how may I help you?". She insisted I had to have called her - I had the call come in to our line. We wished each other a good day and hung up.

Punishingly Intricate

Do those meetings have agendas, Toddson? (If not, for goodness sake, whyyyyy???)

Also, has your boss given specific feedback? Like your notes have too much or not enough detail? Really there are just 2 things that need to come out of meeting notes-- decisions made or communicated and action items.

Seemingly, too much detail. There tend to be long, involved discussions on the issues - and, yes, there IS an agenda for each.
