If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That sounds like a very nice evening JZ. If it should be capped by an asteroid that crashes to earth and only takes out one specific Marin condo, so much the better.

Man it is bitter cold out there! I like seeing the snow, but not being out in it when they're predicting a wind chill of -10°!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

No asteroids as yet, but pig cuddles have been given and received, and Hec made sj's family comfort food recipe (pasta with fancy Italian tuna and tomatoes and olive oil and something bright and green) accompanied by a bottle of red rescued from my father's wine cellar, and we just watched the Olive Branch episode of Schitt's Creek, which remains just as adorably romantic as the first time we saw it.

Yikes, Matt! -10 is no good at all. I hope you and the kitties are well bundled and cozy indoors.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Frozen pipes in one bathroom this morning. Have I mentioned that I hate winter?

information libertarian

Seeing the snow reports coming in from Austin, New Orleans, etc is amazing!

Iris is a good gorl and mr flea looooves her (which I knew he would; this is basically his puppy, and Dillo’s too.) I’m tired because it’s been a long time since I had to think about when someone I was responsible for would need to poop.

Ugh, Dana. No good.

Iris is so freaking cute, flea.

Greetings from sunny San Antonio!

It is, in fact, really sunny, which gives me a great view of the snowy wonderland just outside my window. It's probably the coldest it's been in years - I don't remember the last time we got below 20F. CPS seems to be doing rolling blackouts of 10 minutes or so to keep the grid from failing. This is posting a lot later than I started it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We haven't been hit by any of the rolling outages so far, thankfully. I shouldn't say that, since the space heater is pointed at the frozen pipes.

Hah! But good for you posting more puppy photos. The public demands it. Also highly recommend a weekly photo capturing growth against an object or person!! Especially since your pup will likely be v big!

Snow is melting here but it’ll take a while, with a foot plus drifts and shoveled piles.

I have to work today, and don’t want to.

Well that was wild. I went out during lunch break to tromp through the snow a bit and take some pictures, and it was a bright sunny day with lots of pristine snow. So when I went back into the apartment, I could barely see for a minute or two.

You think of snow-blindness as happening in the mountains or the Antarctic. Nope! Turns out a parking lot works too.
