I'm also working with Juliana and Sylvie to put together a Buffista-specific get together during that weekend of Jacqueline's memorial. Most probably that Saturday night after the Memorial earlier that same day.
Floating a request: some sort of Zoom feature the rest of us can use to join in.
All the love to Shir and Nilly as always. I’m so sorry for what you’re going through.
Hivemind question: I bought an antique piece of furniture the other day, and it has some velvet lined draws. Is there a good way to clean the velvet lining? It’s in good shape with no visible stains but I just want to get rid of other people’s dirt because I’m paranoid about stuff like that.

Nilly asked about a zoom option as well, for the memorial.

I'm going to ask the AV people there if they can do a livestream. I think they can.
Worst case I'll set up a laptop with a Zoom window and people can just stop by and say hello.
So there will be something.
This whole working for a living thing does not spark joy.

It is not the ideal way to spend your time on planet earth.
Just heard that my least favorite member of Jacqueline's extended family, the always judgey and unpleasant Aunt Elene, will not be able to attend the memorial as she will be east for a college graduation.
Oh well.
I ran early this morning because I had a 1pm skincare appointment, but she called and rescheduled. So I'm slightly futless, even though I do have a number of tasks that need attending. But I wasn't planning on dealing with them until later today, dangit.
I missed saying this before because, you know, but Epic and dcp, lots of love and ~ma. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
And in other post:
There is a wonderful snarky tweet I'd like to share here. So that attack from Iran? Home front command said yesterday evening that the state of emergency will remain today as well, meaning: all educational institutions (kindergarten to academy) are closed. After midnight they changed their minds, which made one tired mother to tweet: "only in Israel you have nine hours to prepare for a missile attack from Iran and 15 minutes to prepare three kids for kindergarten".
Ha! I feel for the mother indeed.
