In shelter. Looks like it's gonna be a long night.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Well, it's 2am here, and I can't call any Israeli and ask how they're doing, because if there's a slight chance that they're sleeping, I wouldn't want to wake them up. Even the ones who have to be in shelters and safe rooms right now. But that made me realize y'all may be even more worried than usual, so I poked my head to let you know that we're as OK as possible under the circumstances.
I'm probably the only Israeli who is awake tonight in order to grade, and not be awaken by alarms or attempts to follow the news. Which means me and my immediate family are definitely as fine as possible.
So, um, timelies.
I am given to understand that grading is endless. Or eternal. Or both. Or something.
Anyway...Nilly, glad to hear you and yours are okay. Do what you need to do. Sleep when you can. Stay safe.
Shir, same advice.
Glad to hear from you Nilly! And Shir so sorry to see it’s worse now. Yikes.
{{{{{{Shir}}}}}, {{{{{{Nilly}}}}} glad to see your pixels!
the news is very scary now.
Shir, Nilly, the only words I have that aren't all tears and swearing are: I love you both. Hug your families for me, please.
Karl may not think so, but he kind of always knows what to say. I could transcribe the tears and swearing, though. I kind of...know a guy.
We're thinking of you guys.
Oy, we've sure been on a streak of shitty years.
Wrapping Shir and Nilly and their loved ones up in layers of loving protection.
Morning, all. Thank you all for your wishes. Rest of the night was quiet and I was finally able to fall asleep around 3:15am, so I guess that the other waves were intercepted over other countries.
It was amazing to see the regional cooperation last night (+ Britain, France, and if course the US). It is bewildering to know that the thing that I thought no Islamic country will ever risk, Al-Aqsa, was also targeted yesterday [link] It was also weird to wait for hours for the attack to land - we usually have 15-90 second sirens as a warning, not minutes/hours.
The tiny vent (compared to everything) that I have right now is mostly this. Because I'm tired but there's work. How. Nope. Let me rest after yesterday. [link]
And now, focusing all hopes and efforts on restraining the government from reacting to last night, and back to the hostage/ceasefire deal. This is one insane timeline, y'all.
