A good while ago, I saw pictures from a wedding. The bride's brother had promised/threatened to bring a llama to her wedding. He did. And, since it was a formal wedding, he was wearing a tuxedo. There was also a handler, to make sure he behaved himself.
And, in photo news: Monday was supposed to be The Rapture. Someone with an active sense of humor bought a bunch of inflatable sex dolls, inflated them with helium, went to a church parking lot and released them. Proof (scroll down a little)
Good vibes to Epic and dcp.
We found out last night that Mom's cancer is also showing signs of coming back. This time her doctor thinks he can perform the removal at his office rather than requiring an OR and general anesthesia, so at least it seems to return smaller and weaker each time? Not ideal, but I guess we may have to think of it as a regular management issue rather than something that can just be fixed full stop.
I'm sorry, Matt. It does sound like they are on top of it.
responding to Hec's post: The space is gorgeous, the dog is adorable, and Son & Garden is amazingly OTT. I've not eaten in a place that had a designated Instagram area before.
Matt, I'm sorry about your mom's cancer.
I think Allyson posted about a possible job interview today, so, vibes for that.
so much difficult health news in thread lately. for a disabled person, I got off easily--not for gen pop, though.
I'll be thinking about y'all for the memorial. I wish I could see you more often.
I’ve just figured out that I have 2.5 weeks to complete what is scheduled as an 11 week self-guided course. But it’s not just reading and a test. It is exercises and making comments on other class members posts and and AND!!! I think I over procrastinated beyond my abilities.
Timelies all!
Not much news here. Mr. S has been calling us, sometimes more than once a day. Haven't heard much from the doctor or the social worker, so we don't know when he'll been discharged.
I'm so sorry Sheryl. I can't imaging how draining and difficult all of it must be.
So many hard things hitting so many good people right now. You’re very much in my thoughts.
I did not get ruptured this weekend. But I did (coincidentally) celebrate siblings day by getting together in DC with my two older sisters, one of whom I have not seen since I was 10, as well as my, uh, regular brother and sister and my SIL. Turned out to be a really great weekend all around that might or might not have, but definitely did, include getting matching tattoos.
Hey Tep, just how many +ones can you bring to this wedding? Asking for a bunch of friends.

Brenda, that sounds like an excellent weekend!
