I'm sorry, Laura! Maybe time to switch to miniature Pinschers.
Emmett and EM are in Jonesboro, Arkansas this morning awaiting totality.
I've got a sunny day and I'm about to get in a run in. Matilda's on break this week, and Cupid and I have already been out.
My friend Jes arrives around lunchtime to continue painting the back steps.
A coworker just gave me glasses!
I can report that partial eclipse has started here.
I missed the magical moment at 11:11 (on the phone rescheduling a Dr. appt), but I got out there at 11:14 (and had checked it out at 10:45). I heard the mailman coming so I stayed on the sidewalk and let him hand deliver my mail. Then let him borrow my glasses (thanks, SD Library!) so he could see it. I swear it reminded me so much of the Oreo cookie rendering that you see all over FB that it was a little meh. Maybe the photo a friend posted from a genuine totality has now spoiled me for just being in the path?
I'm jealous of the eclipse watchers! It's so cloudy here, you can't even tell that there's a sliver supposedly missing.
Here it just kind of looked like a big cloud passed over.
Proof of eclipse on my Facebook!
I watched live NASA coverage on my work computer like the big giant slacker I am and went out and viewed partial through a coworker’s glasses. I still enjoy a hole in paper approach though.
Whole lotta nothin' going on -ma, Epic!
Ain't~nothing~ma, Epic.
My son called me to say it got real dark outside. Cloud cover but they could see the tiny bit of sun left since it was 99.5% where he lives. He met one of his neighbors, so at least it got him out of the house.
