I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Work was a bit extra work-y today. Upon being asked for help, I made a suggestion to a disgruntled coworker and got pouting and attitude. My male coworker suggested the same thing to her an hour later and got sunshine and roses. So over it.

But I went for a walk at lunch and got to pet multiple dogs, so the day was definitely not a waste.

How annoying, Calli! But yay dogs.

I don't think my doctor told me much of anything when I started on lisinopril, askye, but the pharmacist made sure I knew possible side effects, etc., and every time I refill they ask me if I've taken it before and I say yes and they still have me talk to the pharmacist so they can tell me again. So I hope your pharmacy will be equally informative.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jiffylube was too jiffy! I rolled right into an open bay and they started vacuuming my car before I'd even gotten to the office. Guy said to take a seat they'd have it done in 15 minutes!

Where's my reading time, buddy! I went to the nearest cafe, which turned out to be a sweet gem of a place named Cafe Enchante. Really nice vibe inside with free wi-fi. I will definitely return if I want to do some writing.

Matilda texted me from school with a picture of herself with tears streaming down her face. She said, "I can't stop crying. I miss Mama."

So she's coming home from school today instead of going to practice.

Thrive to spite them

I did ask the pharmacist and he told me the basics. I can take it anytime and I forgot to ask if I can take it at the same time as my other meds (the pharmacy tech filled the prescription) so I guess I can take that and the lexapro all at the same time.

I finally got a pill organizer since I have 3 bottles now to deal with. And maybe having one will remind me to be more proactive about making sure my vyvanse is filled in a timely manner.

So M has high blood pressure (although not as high as mine is) and hasn't been taking medicine because ... I don't know why...but he messaged me when I was on lunch and said he would call the doctor about checking his blood pressure and take medicine with me if he needs still needs it. And make some changes to the way he cooks so it's healthier. So that was really sweet.

...a pill organizer...maybe having one will remind me

I really like the free MediSafe app for my phone. I set alarms for when I take which pills throughout the day, and I set reminders for when I am due to order refills.

If I include the four fish oil pills and the two OTC multivitamins, my daily pill count is currently 21. The app really helps to manage all that.

That is sweet, askye.

Aw, Matilda.

I googled Cafe Enchante because I want to know all about charming cafes and it's also a video game? Or a place in a video game? Something.

It's right across from that church I posted on FB. So Geary and 26th or so. Kind of big but with nooks and crannies. A big shared table and a couch, but lots of little tables. Trompe L'oeil art on one wall: [link]

Oh, I was able to track it down I just thought it was funny that it was a little more of a challenge because the video game results came up first. It does look worth going to! I hope I remember next time I am in SF and want a coffee shop, picking a random nearby place does not always work for me. Not that it comes up very often, but giving myself plenty of time to get to appointments just in case does sometimes leave me wanting someplace I can sit and drink a warm beverage.
